About 2 minutes into the clip.

I saw a doco on it. Apparently it wasn't exactly accurate but as they pointed out the inconsistencies , you could see where he got most of his material from. Any major inconsistencies that I have missed?
But the worst atrocity is Gibson's accent!

At least no one can say he didn't try. Those 3 movies together would drive most director/producers nuts. Of course it's nothing a bit more dosh can't fix.

I don't know about the movie, but the Holy Bible says Jesus was unable to carry the cross or cross beam and a Roman soilder pulled a man from the crowd watching to finish carrying the cross the rest of the way to the crucifixion site.
The ruins of Cyrene are located near the modern village of Shahhat, Libya, which is near Benghazi.

However if you forget that it is an anti English rant, it is a good film, with the right message about standing up to power.

Seen it 4-5 times.
I wish it was historically correct - that would be AWESOME!!
I must admit the hanging, drawing & quartering was realistic/authentic.
They did the same to Guy Fawkes centuries later ....
And as the pro-Capital Punishment crowd would say:-
"No traitor committed treason again after being hung, drawn & quartered" !!
