@sonship saidYou are mistaken, I said “if you are comfortable”.
@divegeester
This is your dishonest characteristic - a Christian being "comfortable" with the inevitable fact that we are putting OFF one expression and putting ON the other throughout the Christian life.
You seemed comfortable defending the position a page or so ago. What’s changed?
@sonship saidOnce again you are doctrinally incorrect in your claim that a born against Christian...
@divegeester
If you are comfortable with the notion of you willingly following Satan while you simultaneously have Jesus flowing through then good for you.
I never said I was "comfortable" any expression of oldness with the process of transformation. Transformation necessarily entailing that one is moving from one expression more into the other.

“To be born again embarks the believer on a life long process of learning to live another way BESIDES following Satan.”
Your brand new doctrine. Congratulations.
@sonship saidI’ve quoted you verbatim above.
@divegeester
Are you proud that you are adept at making twisted innuendos to caricature Christians growing spiritually?
@divegeester saidSince you believe in once saved always saved; were you willingly under the influence of Satan when you stole from your friend that time?

@divegeester saidThe incident I spoke of was before I had much of any doctrinal understanding of such matters. I was a kid who knew God and my conscience. I was not that clear about the Triune God. I was not a Bible reader or one versed in matters of security or assurance of salvation.

I did not come into an understanding of the assurance of salvation until much latter.
As we speak, right now, do you Divegeester have the assurance of your eternal redemption? Has your kind of theology left you with just a kind of hope to see how things turn out?
I believe one of the first things a new believer should learn is the assurance of eternal life and eternal redemption according to the New Testament.
@sonship saidSo you did or did not have the spirit of Christ within you?

@sonship saidYes I do.
As we speak, right now, do you Divegeester have the assurance of your eternal redemption?
So you did or did not have the spirit of Christ within you?
Yes. Forever the Spirit of Christ has come to be with me and in me.
Why do you make that a small s ?
That Spirit of Christ is God Himself you know?
And He will be with the disciples FOREVER.
"And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may be with you forever,
Even the Spirit of reality, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him; but you know Him because He abides with you and shall be in you.
I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you." (John 14:16-18)
And I am glad that you have the assurance of your salvation.
@sonship saidThen what is all this deflection by you then?
@divegeester
So you did or did not have the spirit of Christ within you?
Yes. Forever the Spirit of Christ has come to be with me and in me.
