Well yes and no. It depends on where one is in life and their what their circumstances are. But first it is true that God has dealt with only certain groups or certain nations of people in the past. It's not that he doesn't love mankind as a whole and knows the heart condition of us all. But because of certain things he wanted accomplished or had promise ...[text shortened]... ith a group or religion, that is where you get instruction and knowledge from God himself.
If this is in fact correct then why do the JWs make HUNDREDS of false prophesies and predictions about the future. Are you saying that God does not know the future?

Otherwise worse case scenario you get blotted out of existence. Also only the 144,000 actually get to live or be in heaven. This is truly what they believe.
😕
Any chance of a yes or a no dude?
I'm not asking for the whole recipe, just whether or not this single ingredient is mandatory...

Correct. Lets see if has the guts to state clearly what the JWs believe.

I apprecite your answer and I thought I had answered yours but I guess I need to know exactly what your referring to.
And I don't understand your thinking I'm arrogent with my answers. I'm answering with honest answers and ones that I believe in. Are you not doing the same? If so then we are just both being honest I would think if we are to have honest discussions then name calling should not be in the mix. Don't you think?
Indeed, the picture that emerges bears a remarkable similarity to what is found in the opening chapters of the Bible book of Genesis. There, however, we find, not the vague language of legend, but the specific details of accurate history.
Accurate history according to whom?
And I don't understand your thinking I'm arrogent with my answers
It's not your answers and i don't for a minute doubt your honesty, it's your tone. It's the air of superiority which accompanies your answers, that's what i mean by arrogant.
I'm not name calling, i'm describing you.

What JWs believe is in a very narrow interpretation of the entire Bible and thats where the pitfalls are the greatest. So their problem I suspect is that none of them are 100% sure that they are correct. They simply hope they are.

It seems as much eneregy as you put into "knowing us so well" you could use that for the betterment of mankind somehow.
Jesus said to preach the Good News Of the Kingdom which gives us all hope for a better future. If you'd like a Witness can come by and study with you and explain what that is and in turn would give you hope for a brighter future.

I know you feel otherwise but as much as you don't believe in it..I do. And it's wrong but I'm human and some here, not yourself, never stop with the attacks.
And sorry about your question but I thought I had answered it as I really don't know what their sourses are for that statement as there is no referances printed. But I'm sure it's just a collection of them from the vast archive that I know they have.
But I'll research for you and see what I can come up with.....Thanks.

When they prophecize time after time, and are wrong all the time, don't they get it? Not even their god supports them, for crying out loud.

What Menace says here is partly correct, but an oversimplification that becomes incorrect when stated that simply. It is correct that the bible speaks of two groups, and only the members of the 144,000 are to be ruling with Jesus in heaven. However, the other group that Jesus spoke up as his "other sheep" at John 10:16 is the same group referred to at Revelation 7:9, 14 that shows that the members of this group have "washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” In other words, they have exercised faith in Jesus as their Ransomer, have made a dedication to Jehovah, have symbolized their dedication by water baptism, and “hold a good conscience” by their upright conduct.
However, Jehovah is a God of love, so Acts 24:15 reveals information about His plans for the future, stating: “There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” So even “the unrighteous,” many individuals who did not know and serve Jehovah, will get a future opportunity to gain God’s favor.
Originally posted by Rajk999The Witnesses have never claimed to be prophets so that would be an incorrect statement. But like any human on this planent misakes are made when there is insufficient knowledge or that God has not allowed the light of knowledge to shine brightly on a specific subject yet. So what you are referring to happened many decades ago and the misunderstandings of chronology with future events are more understood now. And just because things were misunderstood really means nothing. Did not God's people of old make mistakes on many things also?

So I would suggest learning what the new understandings are now and for the future and forget the past as it is the past. One who keeps looking back, stumbles.

So two questions :
1. Do you have any comment on the discussion concerning whether or not the JWs constitute THE ONLY TRUE RELIGION, and therefore the only religion by which one might have a chance to be part of the earthly paradise?
2. Why do the JWs insist on claiming that the 144,000 referred to in Revelation are not natural Jews and the descendents of Jacob, when it clearly states they are 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel and identifies the tribes by name. Galveston already stated a few rather silly reasons for his belief. Do you have anything new to add? What he said makes no sense so no need to repeat his points.
