@fmf saidsonship, were you LESS inclined to discuss things deceptively and to rely on logical fallacies and to use dishonest little rhetorical gimmicks BEFORE you became as "like Jesus" as you are now and BEFORE he started "flowing through" you?
I can understand why you have misrepresented it.
@sonship saidAre you seriously referring to the good works defined by Jesus as dead works?
@Rajk999
I see some atheists promoting it and who believe that these teachings are worth following.
One of the foundational truths of the Gospel is "repentance from dead works and of faith in God"
[quote]Therefore leaving the word of the beginning of Christ, let us be brought on to maturity, [b]not lay again a foundation of repentan ...[text shortened]... e unfaithful offering of his works in rebellion to approaching God based on the blood of redemption.
Why am I not surprised?
@rajk999 saidClearly, you're not paying attention because it must pain you to listen to a woman.
I dont see any Christian promoting the teachings and commandments of Christ which is good works and righteous living. I see some atheists promoting it and who believe that these teachings are worth following.
I see Christians condemning and belittling these teachings.
Which teaching of Christ was that?

@kellyjay saidThe post in question is along the lines of Jesus's teachings. But you wont know that because you dont follow Christ's teachings and commandments. Anyone can, and indeed should be Jesus's mouthpiece here on the earth. How is that something wrong? It is what Jesus commanded his disciples to do.
I can only imagine why you think that is true, when you believe you can speak for Christ putting words into His mouth. I cannot see you ever being shown you are in error when you think your Jesus' mouth piece on the earth.
These are the reasons why I keep telling you that you live in a delusion. You have no Spirit of Christ or Holy Spirit in you. The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to remind you constantly of what Jesus preached. Clearly its not working in you.

@sonship saidI'm glad to hear you are now just 'praying', rather than the Nee/Lee inspired 'prayer reading'.
@Rajk999
I can show you where your mouth worship will end in damnation.
I would like to hear more of your rationale that Stephen was like me, "a damn fool" for praying to the Lord Jesus in Acts 7:59 .
I happen to think I am in good company to pray to the Lord Jesus as I pray and call out to GOD.
You're going to show me that we're ...[text shortened]... s" destined for eternal perdition for doing and encouraging others to do the same.
GO !
I'm glad to hear you are now just 'praying', rather than the Nee/Lee inspired 'prayer reading'.
There is so much abject ignorance embodied in this comment, one hardly knows where to begin to reply.
Aren't you afraid you'll damage your finger nails scrapping so hard at the bottom of your barrel of trollish criticisms?
Oh, did you read through just one short book by either men yet?
I mean you seem to want to become knowledgeable about what they taught.
I'm glad to hear you are now just 'praying', rather than the Nee/Lee inspired 'prayer reading'.
I am on the other hand glad that Ghost brought this up. The subject is How to Receive the Living Water.
Not commands, but advice.
Not infallible methods, but friendly advice.
Sure prayer. Talk to the Lord Jesus. "But WHAT do I say?" some may ask. (I said some).
If you don't know how to utterly open your heart and pour out your deepest thoughts and concerns to God, let the Bible help you. Pray along the very words of some portion of the Bible.
Pray read the word of God to let the Holy Spirit begin to flow through you.
Now no arguing today. Listen, here's the deal.

All parts of the Bible may not be that good for your initial praying. But CERTAINLY one of the Psalms of repentance would be tremendous for you to begin as a seeker of the living water, to pray. Now I would say a great Psalm for a new believer to pray or one seeking the Holy Spirit in a richer way, would be Psalm 51.
Turn each sentence into your OWN personal prayer. Let David's repentance HELP you also to repent.
Big sinners like you and I, we could be helped by the utterances of David's repentance too.
Here's some of it to get started pray-reading to touch the Spirit of Christ.
Be gracious to me, O God, according to You lovingkindness;
According to the greatness of Your compassions blot out my transgressions. (v.1)
That;s just the first verse. "O Lord Jesus, according to Your word, please BLOT OUT ... my transgressions. Lord thank You that You CAN and are ABLE to blot out my transgressions"
The living water of the Spirit will soon begin to relieve you, refresh you, renew you. Praise the Lord.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And from my sin cleanse me. (v.2)
Make this your OWN prayer. God doesn't mind if you let David's words help you also to confess.
"Thank You Lord Jesus, in your precious blood of redemption CLEANSE ME. Lord Jesus, You know me. You know what I have done. CLEANSE ME Lord Jesus."
Pray read for the living water coming from repentance to God.
For I know my transgressions, And my sin is before me continually.
Against YOU and YOU alone have i sinned.
I have done what is evil in Your sight.
Therefore You are righteous when You speak;
You are clear when You judge,: (v.4)
How good that one could make this classic and timeless prayer one's own. Or at least let the words HELP YOU to throw open your heart to the God - the God willing and eager to forgive and dispense the living water of His Holy Spirit into your innermost being.

@rajk999 saidYou are standing in place of Jesus Christ from speaking for Him, to judgment of others.

@kellyjay saidCool. When you meet Christ, tell Him what I was doing. Again you have no such thing as the Spirit of Christ in you Your professions of faith are meaningless because you do not promote and encourage others to follow Christ.
You are standing in place of Jesus Christ from speaking for Him, to judgment of others.
What Im actually doing is speaking out against those who condemn the teachings of Christ.

@rajk999 saidI don’t have to tell Him, He is well aware what you are doing.

Watchman Nee didn't talk explicitly about "pray-reading."
You combined Nee/Lee in your criticism of praying with the Bible.
That would be the first thing I would be surprised that you seemed not to know.
An additional thing I would be surprised at is how MUCH praying with the words of the Bible is a part of Christain history, and that long before the birth of Witness Lee.
The book "Lord Thou Saidst" by Ray Graver (and the team of helpers with him) wrote convincingly documents that.
