It had NOTHING to do with him being a theist or not, you didn't see one
word in that statement about God from me. If you declare you'd never
accept something as true, you put up walls now that would prohibit you
from ever accepting that your wrong. That could be true about evolution,

Did you think this talk about universal truth was about how to make hamburgers?
Of COURSE it is about the search for the possibility of a god that interacts with humans.
My personal opinion is there is no such thing. Which is not to say I think these is no such thing as a god.
I as a tiny misshapen shriveled up ancient human think there is no such thing as a god that is interested in humans. That has been made more and more clear as my time in life goes on.
Theists think otherwise.
That is the ONLY thing theists think and your protestations of never bringing up *GOD* is bogus, because you know full well you are incapable of talking about universal truth without constant reference to the concept of your god even if unnamed.

Which is the standard reply from the theistic POV, everything a non-theist thinks HAS to be a belief, therefore keeping the mind of the theist happy in the thought that everything is the same, two sides of one coin.
The thing about belief is this: it seldom can change or change on time scales exceeding human life spans. Example: the mellowing out of the ...[text shortened]... xt decade. This century, last century, next century and so on down the long narrow road of time.

I guess your statement about universal truth cannot be taken as true than
either, since you are making one? If there is a universal truth, it is not
dependent upon us to accept or reject, it will be true no matter what we
believe. To take a stand as you are DOING now only blinds you to the
chance one could be there and you REFUSE to even acknowledge it, ...[text shortened]... ld be real, it is more a faith based belief on your part the way you are

There are the Ultimate Truth.... Any one saying that he has the Ultimate Truth is the one *not*having the Ultimate Truth.
...and there are the personal truth. And your truth differs from mine. The truth is subjective, meaning that everyone can say he is true even if it contradicts others.
Observe that I make a difference between Truth and truth. There fore there is no universal truth, only Universal Truth.
I am happy if you have another philosophical view. I respect yours if you respect mine.

Remember the word of Jesus: "Don't do against others what you don't want others do to you." But I don't think the word of Jesus means a crap. You are just not christian. It's just you and your deamons talking.

The truths are as many as there are people on our Earth. There is only one Truth.
My truth is true to me, your truth is true for you. The Truth however is true for everyone, but known for noone.
This all is according to my own definitions.
