There wasn't a "theocracy" in Israel. And you have conceded, perhaps inadvertently, that Jesus was perceived by the Romans as a threat.

If Jesus had committed religious crimes then the Jews would have had him stoned to death. The fact is he was crucified, which is an exclusively Roman method of execution, demonstrates that he was put to death for being a perceived threat to the empire. You have already described exactly how and why he was a political threat. The word is sedition.
