saying they were a war hero who never saw a battle in war. Without God actually in your
life, you are just some guy making a claim about an experience you never had.
Presumably you want people to take you at your word when you claim to have been a Christian all these years?

Well that is a nice thought, especially since we seem to be incapable of saving ourselves.

I mean this in the life as well as the next. I find that the more screwed up you are the harder you tend to fall for Christ and whose lives were turned around 360 degrees.

Did you experience any positive change when you became a Christian?

OK then never mind.

My post above was for you.

Did you feel that your conversion changed you in any way?

I know it was for me. The lack of interest you were keen to demonstrate previously is duly noted. I am similarly not interested in your follow up question. 😉

Atheists you can brush off by saying they are living in ignorance and don't know what they are rejecting, but someone who does have a Christian faith but then walks away from it is something you just can't tolerate or comprehend. - Perhaps you fear it highlights the cracks in your own faith?
Aaaaannnd here it is.

I was actually wondering when this argument was going to appear. Of course, as an atheist, you don't find anything at all unbelievable about his tale. Your filter is just not tuned to that frequency because you're convinced of the superiority of your own opinion.

Appear?! Becker's (aka FetchMyJunk's) discombobulation with FMF having walked away from his Christian faith is 'always' there bubbling away just below the surface. It's the very thing that fuels his relentless fixation on FMF.

Didn't you know?

Sounds like someone who has no idea what they are talking about. Could you be more specific?

No, that'll do. It's specific enough.

What do you think fuels FMFs vehement lambasting of anything Christian?

'The whole Jesus saved me thing'. How did it hook you? You make it sound so bland.

Bland or not. I am happy that I have been as specific as I want to be for you. You have the answer you're going to get. Do you understand? 😉

Of course like a war veteran being asked about a war they fought it, and all they have to say is I fought in the war and that's all you're going to get. Sounds very believable indeed.

There are at least four Christian regular posters who have suggested that I am lying. It's fine by me if you want to join them. There may be some non-believers that think I am lying about having been a Christian, but they haven't bothered to say. It's OK by me.
