I don't get this...

Israel is a state populated by the people of God himself, the jews, right?
And the jews dismiss Jesus Christ as the Messiah, right?
So if God's own people dismisses Messiah, then Jesus cannot be the Messiah, right?
Who can say against God's people, they, if anyone, must be right, right?

Please, inform me where I go wrong in this reasoning...

Its only a story,so grow up
Yes I know, it's a story, but a lot of people believes in it as it would be true. And that is the paradox inclusive. Israel has occupied and is occupying foreign territory because of this story. Palestinians are losing their lives because of this story.

So in order to understand the situation in middle east, I would like to understand how people are thinking.

Why are people believe in this paradoxical story?

If I say that I belong to a superior people, then noone believed me. When Hitler said that he belonged to a superior people, then a whole country believed him. When the jews are saying that they are a superior people, chosen by God himself, then everybody believe it!

That is why I ask this question. Despite the fact it is just a story, invented by an agenda.
