Why don't you read John and Luke for the approximate birth date of Jesus. John the Baptist was born near the end of March (Aries) and he was 6 months older than Jesus (Libra). Jesus was born near the end of September.
December 25 is the traditional birthday of he who was born of a virgin and who ascended into the heavens. The one who said "Unless you drink of my blood and eat of my flesh you will not be with me in the next world".
I speak of the great god Mithras. Merry Mithramas !! 😛

Come on everybody spread the news.
All are gathered to kneel and pray,

He spoke to Abraham and Moses too
and when rejected by the Jews he spoke to you.
How long more for these old wives tales?
The story of a man hung up by nails?

In other words, there is nothing in what he said that you can refute.

Nope, I was going on about his trolling with insults, and after thinking about it, it
isn't worth my time. I didn't care what his points were once he started the way he
did, if he had shown some respect to those he was attempting to get a response
out of I may have cared what he had to say.

Thank you Sonhouse.

I did my best to put forward a logical argument.
It is not my intention to offend anyone.
I have spoken facts not fiction or superstition.

But some people are just determined to hold on to
something that they think gives them comfort like a child's
teddy bear or a security blanket that offers them false hope.

They will not be willing to use their intelligence to work out
problems for themselves.

All religion is man made and corrupt.

That is the bottom line of my argument.

Organisations which have no other purpose other than
collection and control. Collection of revenue and control
of your mind. If you don't go along with them you are
threatened with either excommunication or you are ostracized
or damned.

If there was a god of love up there somewhere he would
come down and destroy these religions like he allegedly
destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.

But there is no magic wizard in the sky.

The only thing up there is rain.

Luke says that Jesus became 12 years old at the time of a passover, which is always in the spring of the year. Remember Jesus is called the Lamb of God not just because He was sacrificed like the lamb on Passover, but because He was born in the spring of the year just like the perfect lamb would be. It is true that John the Baptist was six months older, but that would make his birth in the fall of the previous year. There is nothing in the Holy Bible or anywhere else that requires John the Baptist to be born in late March. The course that John's father, Zechariah, served could have been in the first half of the year or the second half of the year. I believe Jesus was born on the night of 20 -21 April 5 B.C.

HalleluYah !!! Praise the Lord! Holy! Holy! Holy!

P.S. That would be according to the Julian calendar.

Nothing to which he can relate is more like it.

We adults are not terrified of, nor despise, nor unbelieving of the concept of an entity superior to us, one worthy of our worship. It's not a concept that we feel insulted to believe in. We are cynical of humans (for apparently good reason), not of God.

That's not what Luke says. I've been around this with you before.

"Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover.
And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast." -- Luke 2:41-42

He did not "become 12 years old at the time of a passover". "When he was twelve" means he was already 12 at the time of this Passover. Nothing here says he turned 12 at the time of the Passover. He could have been born any time of the year, according to this passage, but because of other clues in the Bible, I also believe he was born in September.

The correct translation of the Greek is not "He was" but "He became" as shown in the NASB or the Greek Lexicon.

Now His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. And when He became twelve, they went up there according to the custom of the Feast; and as they were returning, after spending the full number of days, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem.

(Luke 2 41-43 NASB)

http://biblelexicon.org/luke/2-42.htm

I even noticed that the Jehovah's Witnesses New World Translation has it correct.

http://www.jw.org/en/publications/bible/luke/2

P.S. I know all about those other clues, but they have been only partially understood and not correctly applied.

Cute...but you'd better be right. If your not, you're going to spend a very, very, very long time regreting your lack of faith!

Clearly Jesus was a Piscean as is evidenced by early followers using
the sign of the fish. The feeding of the 5,000 is also shows his affinity
with fish as does his fondness for sailors.

We therefore know without doubt that he was born between
Feb 18 and March 20.

Now if we average those dates by taking the day from one and
the month from the other we get Feb 20. If we multiply Feb (the 2nd month) by 20 we get 40. Yet further proof.

So Jesus was born on 20th Feb ... but what year? Clearly he could not be born
in a BC year - that just doesnt make sense (not even to an Evolutionist) so he must be born in an AD year and my gut tells me 2 AD.

There you have it. 20/2/2

What surprises me is, if this planet is millions of years old
and they say they can prove that.

Then why isn't this the year 75 million and 12?

4.5 billion years old, give or take a smidgeon. 75 million doesn't even scratch the surface. Of course, if you happen to think the world was created about 6000 years ago round about tea time on a Thursday then just ignore this and blame the radiometric dates on satan or another mythical being of your choice.
