No one is denying that God further hardened Pharoahs heart. God knew that he would harden his own heart so God hardened it further. Would you agree that someone who chooses to disobey God hardens their heart? Did Pharoah choose to disobey God? Or did God make the choice for him?
But why would this deity harden the Pharoah's heart but not dictators that came later like Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Hitler, and the Turks who did the Armenian holocaust? Your god is only part time in that aspect? It doesn't care that the later holocausts were against Jews and Christians? By the tens of millions? No big deal to this god but the PHAROAH really TICKED him off?
Why can't you see a problem with that plot line?

Because we can be very evil simply shows what we are capable of.

That tells me it cherry picks what it wants to help with as far as humans are concerned. Or theory #2, the whole tale was BS in the first place. I assume you coudn't accept that. which means you would be cherry picking the bible yourself, right?

Is there anything in chapter 7 to support Pharaoh hardening his own heart?
As you pointed out, when we refuse God we harden our hearts. He was digging in not
wanting to do what God was telling him.

Where in the Bible does it say we have free will?
obey and not sin if we didn't have the ability to do both. If God says this is the way walk
ye in it, why do that if we didn't have choice?

You need a quote about God saying do this and do not do that?
Read the 10 Commandments.
You stand on sinking sand.
