Unequivocally no.

I have moral standards.

I am having trouble working out what your problem is with my stating that I have moral
standards that would prevent me from killing someone based on someone else's whim.

Do you not think I have morals?
Or do you not think that this is a moral question?

Well if my mental state had deteriorated to the point where god was telling me to kill people, then all bets are of, I would like to think that I would still ask a 'few' questions though.

My reaction is similar to kev's. If I was told that a person believed they were told by God to kill someone, I would conclude that they might in fact do it. There is no reason to exclude myself as a possible victim of such a hallucination.

However, my current conception of God would have to be drastically changed. First, I would have to believe God was an existing person, and not, for example, a construct or principle. Then there are the character issues. 🙂

What concerns me is that there seems to be a lot of people whose conception of God would not have to change very much, for them to believe that God was telling them to kill someone.

I believe God has moral standards that are higher than any of man's moral
standards. So I reason that if I am willing to kill a stranger to protect the
life of my family or go to war to protect the lives and freedom of the people
of this nation, that I should surely kill a stranger at God's command. It must
be the moral thing to do. HalleluYah !!! 😏

And this is why people flew planes into the twin towers and why faith is so damned dangerous.

John 18:36
Good News Translation (GNT)

36 Jesus said,
My kingdom does not belong to this world; if my kingdom belonged to this world, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish authorities. No, my kingdom does not belong here!

You just don't get it do you? You CANNOT serve two masters and you seem to think you can.

first, i'd ask what he was going to pay for the service, then i would check his credentials to insure that he can make the payment upon completion of the job. i would demand half up front, write up the contract and make sure he signs it.
