@secondson saidEverybody's perspectives and arguments here are based on human reasoning. Yours, mine, everybody's. There is quite simply nothing else going on in these message board conversations.
Accept the fact, FMF, that your arguments are based in human reasoning. Religiosity never produced a relationship with God. A relationship with our creator is all on God's end, and has nothing to do with human religious performance, initially.
The feeling that I had a relationship with God was utterly real and life-permeating to me for those years when I was a Christian just as the feeling that you have a relationship with God is real to you now.
@secondson saidI used to believe this.
..a "relationship", with the living God, is based in truth, and on the Word of God.
@secondson saidAre you suggesting that FMF cannot have had a relationship with God because he was a catholic?
Religion produces "feelings" as you say, but not a relationship. "Feelings" come from all manner of experience, whether right or wrong, but a "relationship", with the living God, is based in truth, and on the Word of God.

@secondson saidI've have mentioned it to you at least half a dozen times over the last 3-4 years including one extended discussion we had about it when you became increasingly active early in 2018. What's the matter with you?
I find it quite interesting to learn, now that I know it was the religion of Catholicism you had for 28 years

@fmf saidI was speaking of what denomination they might be as in Catholic, Baptist, etc.
You don't know what religion any of the Christians here profess? Seriously? You don't realize that posters like Suzianne and sonship and SecondSon and Rajk999 are Christians even after over a decade of you discussing their Christian faith with them? What bizarre stance is this you are taking?
Of course I know they call themselves Christians.

@fmf saidDon't the Catholics pray to them? Of course they do and you know that.
Yes. I was a Catholic for the better part of three decades. They don't "worship idols". Have you never met any Catholics? There are figures in the Catholic tradition who are revered. But to suggest that Catholics "worship" the decorations in their churches is just as ignorant as people claiming Muslims "worship" Muhammed.
@galveston75 saidThe fact your organization used a team of several non-specialists, non-Biblical scholars, non-Biblical linguists to arrive at the result it was commissioned to arrive at is, for all intents and purposes, a scandal. Added to that is the fact that your doctored Bible has not been adopted by literally billions of followers of Jesus. You can claim the "spirit" directed you till you are blue in the face. It's sheer subjectivity and conjecture.
@FMF
Again... "By his spirit he has directed us to make the needed changes to correct mistakes or to take out words or statements that do not line up with truths in the bible."

@galveston75 saidPrayer is not "worship".
Don't the Catholics pray to them? Of course they do and you know that.
@galveston75 saidSo you were being economical with the truth when you claimed you did not know what their religion was.
I was speaking of what denomination they might be as in Catholic, Baptist, etc.

@fmf saidSo who are you to judge who Jehovah may use? All I hear from you is one who has turned his back on him, if you really ever knew who he is at all. With the Catholics it can be either Jesus or Jehovah or the Mother Mary or countless numbers of saints that you all pray too. Talking about a mixed up religion that if it had it's way that history shows would still love to be in control of the dark ages and burning to death anyone who dared to question them.

But again what qualifies you to say or judge who Jehovah might be using? Does he have to check in with you first to get your seal of approval? Come on.....
@galveston75 saidIs it possible for someone who doesn’t want to join the Jehovah’s Witnesses but follows Jesus Christ to have access to what you term “Accurate Truth”?
Don't the Catholics pray to them? Of course they do and you know that.
@galveston75 saidHaving a go at me my about my loss of faith and expressing your disapproval for a denomination that I am no longer a member of is all water off a duck's back. Who are you to claim that the sorry little group of non-experts tasked by your organization to doctor the Bible text were somehow used in a supernatural way? You might as well be asserting that your posting on this thread is "directed by the spirit".
