@galveston75 saidI dont twist the bible. Here it is again from Paul. Jesus destroyed the devil by his death.
@Rajk999
Lol. You certainly live in your own little bubble!!!!
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; (Heb 2:14 KJV)
So something is wrong with your doctrine, all of it. Its all nonsense.
@galveston75 saidWhy do you keep asking questions?
@Rajk999
Are you a Christian? If so, what does that mean to be a Christian?
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidCowardice in action.
@galveston75
Are you going to pretend again you didn't see this post?
'You miss the point (as always). The Trinity is indeed non-scriptural and not something believed by the early church. But the SAME THING applies to the notion that Jesus was the archangel Michael.
Wake up!'
@galveston75 saidWho does the Bible say is the "ruler of this world" right now?
@Rajk999
Who does the Bible say is the "ruler of this world" right now?
God aka Jesus. Satan is (temporally) the ruler Prince of the air.
[Ephesians 2:2 NIV] 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.
[Ephesians 2:1-10 NKJV] 1 "And you [He made alive], who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
@KingDavid403
[Ephesians 2:1-10 NKJV] 1 "And you [He made alive], who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in the heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in [His] kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; [it is] the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."
@KingDavid403 saidWhat exactly is the 'Kingdom of the air'?

Is the bible saying that Satan rules the world, not God.
Apparently, if you read the thread it is Galveston contention that God is not the ruler of the world as stated in Daniel, which I quoted and which he ignored. He is saying that Satan rules the world, a statement not in the bible. The bible uses the expression 'prince of the air'. Why are people changing that to 'ruler of the world'?
What do you make of the statement in the bible that Jesus destroyed the Devil by his death? Jesus said it and Paul did as well. I quoted those references.

Seems to be everything that breaths. Fleshly life, including animals and such. However, I'm not totally certain.
Is the bible saying that Satan rules the world, not God.
No. It is saying that Satan still has the power that we gave him when we fell; until Jesus comes back to claim His.
What do you make of the statement in the bible that Jesus destroyed the Devil by his death?
Jesus checkmated Satan by His Love for US; shown on His Cross.

He is wrong or misinformed. Satan still has power to kill, steal, and destroy until Jesus comes back. Not much longer so the Word says.
@KingDavid403 saidWe agree in most part. This thing about Jesus destroying the Devil has been stated several times. Even when the disciples were preaching, Jesus said he say Satan fall like lightening from heaven. The process of destroying Satan started at that time and with Jesus sacrificce the big blow was made and according to Christ, by his death he destroyed the Devil.

Compare life 1000 yrs ago, and 500 yrs ago, and then 50 years ago... the world is gradually becoming a more happy, peaceful, helpful, prosperous place. Contrary to what Christian extremists believe, the world is not getting worse at all, but improving by leaps and bounds with every passing decade.
@Rajk999 saidI agree. 😉 progressive. 🙂

Lots of confusion here. Some comments are trying to figure it out and some are way off...
Remember I posted the scriptures that explain that as time would go on, the light or understanding of events in the Bible would get brighter and brighter? Not my statement but the Bible's.
So see how you all understand this scripture?
Rev 12: 7-9.
7 And war broke out in heaven: Miʹcha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth;n he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.
OK lets hear what is commented on this....
