@kellyjay saidGenuine faith will automatically result in good works. (Due to the transforming effect). They are intrinsically linked. Therefore, if God considered his faith genuine He knew he would have gone on to do good works.
No, that would be like throwing an innocent person into hell for crimes he only would do if he lived. Grace was offered to that guy for the incredible faith he displayed.
@rajk999 saidThey were sinners being killed for their sin. You should spend more time reading the Bible verses your additional manuscripts that conflict with Biblical text.
Yet another Christian who believes the malefactors were murdering thieves. You Christians really are blatant bible twisters.
@ghost-of-a-duke saidYes, he professed his faith in Christ while Jesus was stripped naked, had his flesh ripped off by the wip, and was strung up to die nailed on the cross next to his. While others rejected Christ even after Jesus raised the dead. I am incredibly amazed by that guy’s faith knowing what he was seeing and still put his faith in Jesus. Many walked away from the Lord for much less.

@kellyjay saidThey were not murdering thieves as church teachings proclaim, and which you also stupidly believe like KD. They acted contrary to the Law of Moses. In those days a disobedient child could be executed. Jesus in his wisdom knew which one deserves eternal life, and it was the one who lived like the Good Samaritan. there is no conflict with the biblical text. The conflict is with your church teachings.

Your church is a mess of false doctrines. You change words, add words, manipulate text. Here we see you and KingDavid adding to the bible and describing the people as murdering thieves. Sonship is twisting the bible to say that Christians are deified.
You church people really are not right in your head, and the wise man will stay very far from your church if he wants eternal life.
@rajk999 saidYou didn’t see me call them murders. You should get in the habit of addressing those said, not what your imagination says, or things you claim others have said and applying those comments to other people.

@kellyjay saidWell clearly its your church buddy KingDavid that does not know neither read the bible. He is a victim of church indoctrination. Why is it you did not tell him to read and study the bible. I know the bible and I am not a victim of church false doctrines. Yet you tell me to read the bible. You should address the correct people with your statements.

@rajk999 saidYou not he is pushing a perverted gospel. Not sure what you are complaining about with him.

@kellyjay saidYes you are correct. This Gospel Message of Jesus Christ is what Im pushing, and it is very perverted-
You not he is pushing a perverted gospel. Not sure what you are complaining about with him.
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
(Matthew 5:3-9 KJV)
I know the words of Jesus offended the Pharisees as well. Maybe you church people are their direct descendants.
@rajk999 saidI'm sure you think you have just made a point; I have no idea what point you think you have made.

@kellyjay saidWhen you find yourself in this situation, you will get the point
I'm sure you think you have just made a point; I have no idea what point you think you have made.
... Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
(Matthew 25:44-45 KJV)
@rajk999 saidSince almost everyone says that you will be doing good works if you have faith and are walking it out, what are you suggesting here? Your corrupt gospel is, do good works and earn your way into God's grace? No one but maybe you dispute good works will be done by those following the Lord. You point to good works as if that IS THE REQUIREMENT and not a byproduct of Christ in us.

1 Corinthians 15
English Standard Version
Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

@kellyjay saidIm not suggesting anything. I am quoting Christ, the Son of God. Or is it God. God said the wise man keeps his commandments and he gets eternal life. The fool does not. The fool listens to 'everybody else', and twists the bible so that he can live out his life doing nothing, and will reap corruption.

"Justified by works."
Nothing you have said promotes either of these two statements, and I'm still waiting on you to justify the Biblical soundness of them.
Quoting Jesus saying something else doesn't solve your lack of doctrinal evidence supporting them. Of course, we are to obey God; who says we don't have to, some mystery church person you made up?
Concerning reaping corruption the scripture is clear on that too.
Galatians 6:8
For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

@kellyjay saidSowing to the flesh is about living in sin and evil, and refer to those who disobey th commandments.

Sowing to the Spirit is about righteousness, good works, and keeping the commandments
It has not one single thing to do with faith.
