I understand his religion, it's a little bit of everything blended together. Moderate, politically correct. He ignores what you say, especially when the bible contradicts what he believes.
Rather than confront his error, he just does not let the bible stand in the way of his personal beliefs.

I think he is consistent in his beliefs which I find condemnable, I just disagree with the
premise we can earn our salvation, or be worthy of God’s grace.
