@mchill saidI agree with you about those reasons you stated for the trend of Muslims converting to Christianity. I'm sure they are contributing factors.
Why is this trend taking place, what are the numbers involved, and what are the consequences?
I can't speak about the numbers or consequences but would guess the reason for this conversion surge is the rise in Muslim fundamentalism, and the twisting of the words of the Quran by Muslim political and military leaders to justify the use of violence against non-Muslims. Christ ...[text shortened]... n the middle east over the last few decades have turned many moderate Muslims away from their faith.
But to answer your question "why" is this trend happening, I believe that the conversions, genuine conversions, has more to do with the converted's experience with the one true God, and his son Jesus Christ.
And why the uptick in the numbers? I think it's because we're rapidly approaching, if not in, "the end times".
Man has reached a point where self governance is no longer sustainable.
FMF will disagree because he thinks the world is becoming a better place.
@fmf saidSo now you're going to start this new tactic of pretending to misunderstand because of language barriers.
When you say, in English, "I would advise someone to give serious thoughts to [doing something],", it means that you think it's important or good idea for them to do it. Not the opposite. But not to worry, you've now stated what it was you were trying to say.
PB's advice was to avoid "openly" showing their conversion because they could be executed for doing so.
I caught that right off.
@fmf saidChristians are being persecuted and put to death all over the world.
Why would you advise them to convert if it might mean they are then put death?
Google it some time.
Your question is just plain stupid. Are you asking so you can accuse PB of advocating suicide by conversion? 🙄
@fmf saidNow you telling people how to compose a sentence so you can understand it better?
What you meant to say or should have said is this:
"I would advise a Muslim to give it serious thought BEFORE openly converting to Christianity in a country that practices sharia law."
Is that because you know how to think better about how we should think and talk and act and post, raise our families, what we should teach out children, what movies we should watch or books we should read?
@josephw saidNot in the UK they aren’t.
Christians are being persecuted and put to death all over the world.
@josephw saidAre you in paid employment Josephw?
That would be a great topic. With FMF, English grammar professor Extraordinaire guiding us to higher learning.

@pb1022 saidNo true, just have a look at the debates forum.
Christ deniers never criticize each other.
The reason there is less frequent disagreement between atheists in this forum is due to the fact that none of them believe in god and so have a lot in common relative to this forums purpose.

@divegeester saidAtheists aren’t the only Christ deniers. I use the latter term for people who deny the deity of Jesus Christ.
