Yes, but Neitzche was a fabulous materialist and braggart who lived through time and had a sense of its immenseness. Therefore, he reasoned the whole rolling universe will redo again what it is has done before. Of course he was also a joker, but I suspect he wasn,t joking here. The idea of death as the killing of consciousnes was obvious in Nietzches writings, but his saviour was time itself! However, pathetic this may seem, thereare no other ideas that are less pathetic.
