Um. Yes. It was irony. The fact that you missed it makes it even more ironic.

irony:
the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect.
how does that equate to the opening post?

In other words, an arrogant man is most likely to perceive another as being arrogant. It is hard for vice to recognise virtue - yet, that is not true of virtue. Virtue can recognise vice very well.
"Usually arrogance is most apparent to the most arrogant people..."
So you see arrogant people noticing others are arrogant?
How is their arrogance noticeable to you?
Are you an exception to your own rule?
That is very convenient!

lol. Clearly you haven't thought this through in your haste to insinuate that BDP is arrogant.
Since " Virtue can recognise vice very well", BDP could just as well have recognized arrogance in you via virtue.
Like usual, you're just spewing nonsense whatever your " experience as a pastor and counsellor".
Perhaps this is a result of your arrogance?

In other words, might you have a similar IQ and thus find my comment insulting?
But apparently not to you. Why is that?

The titles we place on others says more about the one putting the title on another than the one titled.
I can't really expect most of you to listen to sense on here - fools do as fools do according to Proverbs.

All that supposed knowledge, but so little wisdom.

One thing I can't stand is pure stupidity. I'll admit it gets under my skin - hence, Bigdog's post - it was one of the most stupid posts I've ever seen. So perhaps I got carried away.
However, it is apparent to me that most of you cannot take a friendly jab. My 'satire' which has caused so many of your feathers to get ruffled was not intended as a polemic but to show how foolish Bigdog's question was. My story was foolish just as Bigdog's post was.
However, again I can't really expect you all to see that - fools do as fools will do.

A) Your entire audience is defective in their understanding.
B) You are defective in your presentation.
Did you take any probability and/or statistics during any of those 3 degrees?

lol. Clearly you haven't thought this through either in your haste to call people "fools".
Since "The titles we place on others says more about the one putting the title on another than the one titled", what does your putting the title "fool" on people say about you?
What does your posting those two sentences back-to-back, say about you? In your estimation, was it more "stupid" or less "stupid" than BDP's post?
Once again, like usual, you're just spewing nonsense whatever your " experience as a pastor and counsellor".
