@pb1022 saidI think you are simply parading your disinhibition and pugnacity for the consumption of the Christian choir. When you were posting as Romans1009, you repeatedly declared that you were "...here to insult and provoke Christ deniers".
And who exactly is in the “choir” I’m “preaching” to?
I think your intended audience is Christians of low intellectual calibre and relatively low-integrity such as josephw or his doppleganger SecondSon who cheered "Romans1009" on in 2018.
@fmf saidAnd I suppose you don’t regard this obviously false post as an insult?

You still haven’t identified who’s in this “Christian choir” you keep referring to that I’m allegedly “preaching” to.
And because your accusation against me has proven to be false, you’ve decided to get personal.
Pretty sad.
And if I’m of such “low intellectual calibre” how do I manage to expose your vanity and pseudo intellectualism so easily?
Suzianne doesn't really preach to the choir and, indeed, one might say, she doesn't really preach much at all. She shares her understanding of theological things when she is in the mood. I think some of the ear-lashings she dishes out might be intended for the gallery but they are almost never about her spiritual beliefs.
chaney3, particularly when he posted drunk, used to not so much preach to the choir than to seek to provoke the choir into singing to him.
His sustained abuse of Rajk999, divegeester, Ghost of a Duke and myself was, in a sense, a kind of preaching to the choir ~ he thought his abuse would resonate with Christians, and KellyJay was the only one I remember reprimanding him for his behaviour from time to time, and maybe Suzianne sometimes ~ but his antics in front of the choir had little or nothing to do with spiritual or religious matters.
@fmf saidI don't think KellyJay preaches to the choir. Not really. He enjoys conversation and I think it sometimes feels like one is sitting in his lounge on armchairs by the fire as he explains what he believes and tries to depict the scope and depth of it.
Regardless of where one is on the atheism-theism spectrum, does preaching to the choir bring any benefits to a debate and discussion forum?
Having said that, he sometimes seems to turn to the camera and offer a monologue a bit like a fireside chat on the TV where the anecdotes and homilies are intended more for the viewers at home than for the person on the armchair opposite him.
@fmf saidI’ve come to the conclusion that sonship primary posts for himself, I honestly think he gets a buzz from reading all that stuff back to himself and reinforcing his belief that he is a teacher, despite him holding no position of leadership in his own church.
An example of a poster who, although he may sometimes be preaching to the choir, is engaged in something different is sonship. He may be preaching primarily to fellow Christians [rather than non-believers] but his Local Church brand of Christianity is quite different in certain ways from conventional Christian beliefs.
@fmf saidWhen I ask KellyJay a direct simple question the response I get gives me the impression I’m talking with a person who is a cross between back-bench parochial people’s-choice MP and an unfunny Ronnie Corbett when doing his armchair piece in The Two Ronnies.
