You have the liar tag because you have earned it. Many of the most reasonable people who used to frequent the Debate Forum saw you in the same light, even some on your side of the political aisle or who at least might have been sympathetic to some of the issues you wanted to raise.
Doctored texts, deliberately misquoted sources, words changed in quotations, ...[text shortened]... nt but you rarely got away with it, I seem to remember. Hence the unfortunate tag you've earned.
And this quote from Socrates is no different. If it turns out that the sources from which I obtained the quote are false then I will own up to it. But I'm sure you much prefer continuing to assassinate my character instead.
Are there any other quotes people dispute?

I admit at times have used web sites that have led me down the wrong path, but to say that I have sought to flat out lie is a lie. Believe what you will.

You tell me.
I've never really understood why there is all the lying on the internet. The truth will come out eventually.
Then again, it might be a hoot for someone to provide a bunch of false facts for their ideological opponents to use and then shoot them down accordingly.

Originally posted by whodeyNo it was always me. FMF is not my real name, whodey. And I've used a couple of others. On each occasion I told most of my regular interlocutors about it in PMs. Not you, it seems.
So the answer is yes, you came under a different name and demeanor

I'll not have a bad word said about Socrates.
He scored 5 wonderful goals for Brazil in 1979.

Originally posted by whodeyIt wasn't character assassination. Your character died ages ago. I was just pointing to its grave.
He had ample time to contribute to this thread but instead chose character assassination.
I note you have failed to address my actual point which is that you are alone in finding the truth offensive - something that in turns explains the premature death of your character under a the weight of lies it tells.
