Excelent comment Robbie. If they could only understand that his Father Jehovah has given him this honor of judge for what he did for us. This is so clearly described in the Bible as to their relationship but yet they are blinded to this by the trinity doctrine.
1. Reading the Bible is one way to know who God is, but only works for JWs.

Why do you even bother with such a thread? You obviously agree with what your fellow JWs say and don't need to urge them to study their bibles. You cant be encouraging non-JWs to study their Bibles because you admit they will be wasting their time. So why bother?

It has never lied about the past and every prophecy that was supposed to happen has come true and we now see the signs that the last few prophecies in the Bible are coming true as we speak just as Jesus fortold.

The Jews who have the same old testament as their holy book read
different although overlapping passages as their Messianic Prophecies
And most of them are so vague as to be able to mean almost anything.
And even if it were true, the people who wrote the new testament knew the
prophecies and could have easily bent the story to fit them, so even if
it says JC filled the prophecies exactly it still wouldn't prove anything.
Ditto about 'lying about the past'... So the people who lived back then
wrote accurately about what was going on at the time and told tales set
in real places.... (which isn't a given)
That doesn't prove that the tales are true, or the miracles are real.
The great flood never happened. and could never have happened.
And all the known species of animal that couldn't have survived it
would never have fit in a boat the size specified.
And Noah couldn't have travelled the entire width and breadth of the world to
collect all of them.
Humanity is vastly older than the bible states.
The bible thinks the world is flat.
The list goes on and on.

If anyone recalls Vicks Vapor Rub they will remember how your parents would RUB the OINTMENT into your chest if you had a cold. This is a good illustratration to discribe God's action of anointing the saved with His Holy Spirit. God "rubs", God "paints", and God anoints His eternal divine Spirit into the beings of the saved. Here is verse 21 with 22:
"But the One who firmly attaches us with you unto Christ and has anointed us is God, He who has also sealed us and given the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge." (2 Cor. 1:21,22)
The eternal Spirit is given to the believers as a garuantee, a downpayment and pledge. It means we have a foretaste of enjoyment of what we will one day have a FULL taste of enjoyment. And that is God Himself. That is the life of God in Christ Himself. We who are saved have the Holy Spirit as a pledge. And with this Spirit God is anointing His life and nature into the beings of His redeemed believers in Christ.
The Apostle John states that "THIS" realm of life, and this sphere of living in oneness with Christ - is the true God and eternal life:
"And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we might know Hom who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ.
This is the true God and eternal life." (1 John 5:20,21)
This last of sentences in First John show people firmly attached to Christ by God. The Son of God has come to give them a subjective knowledge of Him Who is true. That is an experiencial and subjective enjoyment of the Triune God as a living realm to LIVE by and LIVE in:
" ... that we might know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ ..." .
Here is not simply a matter of knowing who God is objectively. Here is a matter of living through and in the Triune God as a sphere of experience ... "in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ ..." .
This living God who can come into people is the true God AND eternal life.
"This is the true God and eternal life."
Not only is this experience of God called the true God and eternal life, but anything which usurps the preeminence and uppermost importance of this God, is an IDOL. Anything that replaces the living in the Triune God can become an idol. So John's last word is for the regenerated children to keep themselves from idols.
"This is the true God and eternal life. Little children, guard yourselves from idols." ( vs. 20c,21)
Nothing should usurp the position or importance of this One in our lives. Nothing should be an IDOL to distract man from the most important reality - living in the One Who is True and in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
Many other things we may have and own. Nothing can replace the true God and eternal life in us who believe into Christ.

Scripture very clearly states that Jesus is the ONLY name by which we are saved, not the name of Jehovah. There is an important issue of spiritual revelation at work in this truth.

The word "triune" is not in the Scripture as far as I know. I've said that before.
Pre-eminent is a translation of a Greek word in Col. 1:18.
My Recovery Version translates it "first place"
"And He is the Head of the Body, the church; He is the beginning, the Firstborn from the dead, that He Himself might have the first place in all things." (Col 1:18)
Weymouth - New Testament in Modern Speech translates the phrase as "occupy the foremost place".
Rotherham's Emphasized Bible translates 18 to read "In order that he might become in all things himself pre-eminent; -"
King James reads - " that in all things he might have the preeminence."
The 1901 American Standard Version reads Col. 1:18 -
18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

Just some fairly related thoughts on the subject. The official name of God is YHWH, pronounced yudhay-vahvhay. The Jews never utter His name as there is an enormous respect and power associated with it.
I believe that it went like this: By so much as uttering God's name, you are getting His attention - and it is sinful to waste His attention by uttering His name without having a seriouis need. Hence the Commandment not to use His name in vain.
Anyway, the New Covenant has been established and Jesus said we cannot get to the Father but through Him. So we pray to Jesus and He intercedes on our behalf.

then why are you seeking to make out as if its a Biblical teaching, when you know
its not found in scripture? Its dishonest at worst and goes beyond what is written,
of which Paul himself warns against.
(1 Corinthians 4:6) . . .“Do not go beyond the things that are written,” in order that
you may not be puffed up individually in favor of the one against the other.
The actual Greek term, found at Colossains 1:18, is from the Greek term protos, as
in that which is first of a kind, of which we derive the term prototype. Never the less,
the context makes it clear that it is with reference to position, Christ being 'head', of
the congregation, therefore pre-eminent is acceptable in this instance.

Clearly Gods name was important enough for Christ to make it the very first thing that
we are to consider in a prayerful manner. Please note Christ did not state, my name,
he stated that the Fathers name was to be sanctified.
