@secondson saidThe post made no sense to you, to the extent that you accuse me of drunkenness... because I typed an “L” instead of a “P”?
Why don't you drink some more. You're almost not making any sense at all.
@secondson saidMy statement is either nonsensical to you, or it is coherent and you classify it as unbiblical. It cannot be both.
That statement is absolutely nonsensical and unbiblical.
The Eternal Son of God cont.
1.) Is Christ still the Only-begotten Son of God ?
Yes.
2.) Is Christ still the Firstborn of all creation ?
Yes
3.) Is Christ still the FIrstborn in resurrection ?
Yes
What has not been discussed very much in this thread is #2.) - Christ as the Firstborn of all creation (Col. 1:15) .
What I am ready to defend is that all of these "offices" the Son of God holds forever and ever. I do not believe that after the Son delivers up the millennial kingdom to His God and Father that ANY of these "offices" will be terminated.
Since the Firstborn Son in resurrection (#3.) ) is the Son the Father begot on the day of Christ's being raised (Acts 13:33; PSalm 2:7), I'll labor some on this point.
@secondson said"Reason dictates everything has a cause."
Of course including you realize you're merely tossing the dice.
Reason dictates everything has a cause.
You are mistaken, the universe isn't infinite.
Including God?!

@kellyjay saidWhile you tend to dilute a question and then answer that, rather than the one I asked you.
We have started conversations like this before, you typically disappear when we
discuss things like a single God of scripture, the trinity, and so on.
It's a little vexing.
@sonship saidBy me.

Would you like to give full proper credit ?
The Firsrtborn Son in resurrection is a Captain of Salvation leading many sons into the expression of man with the divine life.
"And when He brings again the Firstborn into the inhabited earth , He says, And let all the angels of God worship Him." (Hebrew 1:6)
This is about the second coming of Christ. He returns physically to the earth as the FIrstborn Son Who had been begotten on the day of His resurrection (Acts 13:33: Psalm 2:7) .
The Son of God as the Firstborn in resurrection is leading many sons into the glorious expression of God united with saved human beings.
For it was fitting for HIm, for whom are all things and through whom are all things, in leading many sons into glory, to make the Author (or Captain. Pioneer, Leader, Inaugurator) of their salvation perfect through sufferings. " (Heb. 2:10)
After Christ has delivered up the kingdom to His God and Father, will He continue to be a Captain and Leader of the saved ? Will this office of His leadership be of no more need ?
This scene glimpsing eternity indicates Christ is still LEADING many sons to the outflow of the divine life of God.
These are those who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Because of this they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His tempoe; and He who sits upon the throne will tabernacle over them.
They will not hunger anymore, neither will they thirst anymore, neither will the sun beat upon them, nor any heat.
For the Lamb who is in the midst of the thorne will shepherd them and GUIDE THEM to springs of waters of life; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." (Rev. 7:14b-17)
The FIrstborn Son in resurrection comes again leading [b]"many sons"{/b] into glory. He continues leading these glorified sons to springs of waters of eternal life, shepherding them and GUIDING them on in the eternal age.
In fact ALL THINGS are through Him an unto Him and for Him.
"For it is fitting for Him, for whom are all things and through whom are all things, in leading many sons into glory ... " (Heb 1:10a)
@ghost-of-a-duke saidWhy?
"Reason dictates everything has a cause."

@kellyjay saidIf 'reason' dictates that everything has a cause then belief in an uncaused deity is by virtue irrational? Is it not?
Why?
Why does God alone stand outside of reason? Why can there be an uncaused God but, not an uncaused universe (other than it suiting your purpose). It has been said that a finite human cannot comprehend the existence of an infinite God. Why isn't this also true of a finite human understanding an infinite universe?!
