Okay, Shirley MacLaine: whatever you say. You apparently are unaware that, to real historians, most of the cr@p that froggie is spouting is old news. His 'takes' on the data are nothing more than the knee-jerk conclusions of other agenda-driven propagandists.

It gets a bit old, with every 'new' discovery, the faithless jump on the bandwagon, ready to ...[text shortened]... supposed to be supportive of all manner of banality, right? Not in my lifetime, gg.
I like the way you define "real historians" , i.e. people that agree with you. Maybe you could use some of that christian humility in you attitude, nah, you ain't a real christian, you're just another OT propagandist.
The facts are as I said they were and no historian "real" or otherwise can say differently.
You have no idea on what my agenda is, silly boy, but keep guessing maybe you might see the way.
BTW your post attacked a real Christian for trying to explain to you how to behave like one. You are pitiful indeed.

If you want to believe that crap go right ahead, but at least you have found out my facts are correct and maybe that will wake you up to the notion that the OT god is far too foreign in nature to have been the father of Christ.
You bee ...[text shortened]... age or the OT crap, your choice , but you really can't have both, not if you want to be sane.
Listen up silly man
I've graduated from 'boy' so quickly? Must be your selfless mentoring that has allowed my rapid advance. Thank you for all of your help.

to defend the undefensible actions of your stupid god.
It is my understanding of life that right actions require no defense, with no defense possible for wrong actions. Given your extremely limited understanding of all things biblical, you are not in a position to judge God's actions.

You been given a choice Christ's message or the OT crap
Yes, many years ago, I studied the same information you have recently stumbled upon. However, the conclusions each of us reached are diametrically opposed for some reason.

Since I am such a poor example of humility, I will spend the next week going over your many posts within the Spirituality forum and, using your tone and tenor as a template, I will forge a new path of humility. I thank you in advance for yet another phase of your selfless mentoring.

As with history, humility, and judging of God's actions, I will begin deferring to your rulings respective of how a "real Christian" acts. I owe so much to you, froggie. Many, many thanks.

Many years ago you chose the wrong path, silly boy ( the other was due to tiredness ) . Nobody , really reads the bible, if they did they would be aghast at the monsterous actions of that infantile god.
And i doubt that you ever read the Enuma Elish or had the slightest fathom who En-ki was, not to mention Ziusudra.
The real Christian you attacked wasn't me, especially considering that I'm not a Christian, silly boy.

Why don't you simply claim you do not understand the way God has revealed Himself instead of jumping to conclusions and accusing people now and in the past of being bááááááád people ?

Where do you get the idea that I consider them bad people, just because the followed a phony god, doesnt neccessarily make them bad.
However, since you mention it, killing babies in the name of god , isn't exactly being good.

My agenda isn't what the silly boy thinks it is, and I doubt that you have the mental facilities to discern it either, Hoe.

Thank you for your offer to right my path. Owing to your lack of experience and/or general incompetence, said offer has been rejected. However, you are encouraged to continue applying for your desired position of spiritual guide. (Perhaps it is tiredness that prevents you from typing correctly, as well.)

Nobody , really reads the bible
Except, of course, for those who read it, really.

if they did they would be aghast at the monsterous actions of that infantile god.
Do tell your tired (correction, really tired) tale of woe and sorrow, replete with the meaningless wiping out of this group of people and equally pointless killing of that group of people. Then tell us what standard of judgment one is to use in order to determine whether the actions described are right or wrong. Given your penchant for inconsistent behavior and double standards, you likely won't get far into the argument. Good luck, though!

And i doubt that you ever read the Enuma Elish or had the slightest fathom who En-ki was, not to mention Ziusudra.
You're just a bundle of doubt, ain't ya? The Sumerians, Babylonians et al, are all fascinating folks: you just need to learn the difference between chicken salad and chicken... well, on this one, you should be able to connect the dots without going off the page.

especially considering that I'm not a Christian, silly boy.
Gasp! Look of shock! You aren't? How could I have missed all the clues!?

You haven't said one thing that's contradicts what I've been saying. except things like " real historians " don't agree and so what most "real" historians dont even think Moses wrote the Torah, or for that matter that there is a shread of historical evidence outside the New Testament that Christ ever existed.
But if you must continue to believe in your OT god that didn't give a sh@t about anybody but a small clan of very violent people, go ahead and believe in it if you want to, but as I have said before " If that's God then you can shove him where the sun don't shine.
