No one (with the possible exception of RBHILL) wants to talk about it.
Again, I asked you the question!!!

@Ghost-of-a-Duke

Again, I asked you the question!!!

Did you ask a serious question? Reviewing:

My initial comments are that you proceed with your own thoughts and
not a series of cut and pastes.

I ignored that because there was no question mark. And it shouldn't matter to you as long as you get a reasonable answer.

I looked down and saw this.

That you regard a post as trash, asking you to share your own thoughts on the topic, and not simply to paste in the thoughts of someone else, speaks volumes.

I did erase the "trash" statements.

This kind of comment [edited] I found a temptation to brag, to boast that I can write without cutting and pasting. I found this question and others like it a prodding of me to show off how original I can be.

Read my keyboard.

1.) If you all cannot discern that I am capable of fielding matters on the fly without cutting and pasting, then you just are going to have to suppose I cannot.
I think by now you should be able to tell, I can field subjects on my own.

2.) Having SAID that, IF I do refer to something which I have been instructed on, I have absolutely ZERO sense of shame about passing that on to others. It shouldn't matter to the real truth seeker.

3.) I refuse to get into showing off "Hey Guys! I can be ORIGINAL and TALENTED and some INDEPENDENT voice proposing something never before seen by human beings in print." That is simply not a priority with me on this Forum.

Please let this sink in. I refuse to play that game of pride for you.

4.) IF EVERY SINGLE THOUGHT I write down here YOU guys accuse me of copying like a goon, or dummy, and spitting back out verbatim as if I can do nothing else - That's OK. I don't mind. Think that!

Really. If you want to think that, if you NEED to think that, that's okay.

That is not one of the things which concern me, that someone thinks I am a plagiarizer or mechanical tape recorder of someone else. I do follow others and feel gloriously privileged to do so. But I also have my own life before God and possess the adequate keys, usually, to get into vital matters of the Bible.

Again, I asked you the question!!!

Huh ? Things above ?

My teachers not just opened the bible for us. But they gave us KEYS to be able to open the Bible for ourselves. They showed us the final destination and what it is all for. So we know how to relate everything to the administration of God in His eternal purpose.

The Psalms express genuine human sentiments. Not always what one OUGHT to think is there, but what one actually THOUGHT is recorded. This Psalmist would rather he forget how to play music and his tongue cleave to his mouth useless, then he forget that it is in the Holy Land, and in Jerusalem that God wanted them.

How can he pretend to be joyful when such judgment has taken place against Israel. He expects that day when God will judge Israel's enemies and bring them back to the good land.

His expectation is RAW, and full of the thought of vengeance and retribution. It is not necessarily how he OUGHT to have thought. But it is a recording of how he GENUINELY thought.

Sigh.

I asked you about this Psalm in another thread, which inspired you to create this thread and set about 'not' answering my question. (In either thread).

@SecondSon

War is hell?

That's for sure.

The Psalms are full of genuine human expressions. I believe they are under the inspiration of God. But they are genuine and often short of how Jesus Christ eventually taught we should react.

The Psalms are leading up to the perfect - Jesus Christ. Along the way we see the imperfections of human beings in need of the Savior Christ.

This shocking expression of the punished Psalmist held captive in Babylon is a case in point.

One ought to read Lamentations to get some empathy for how he felt.
The judgment of Babylon against Israel was total and very horrible.

It should be understood that "What you did to us, we hope happens to you" is a genuine human sentiment of those Jews so victimized.

The bible is candid - realistic even under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

No, I mean it's interesting how many of your threads turn out like this because of your vanity. I saw all that stuff you deleted on page 1.

Your intellectual dishonesty puts your version of christianity in a poor light sonship.

I like to write about Christ. You like to try hard to get me to write about me.

I show up a lot of places to write about Christ. You've no interest. Some may be interested.

I don't think the specific religion you' happen to be going on about is what causes some of your threads to turn into car crashes. Don't blame "Christ". I'm sure you'd have the same interpersonal problems whatever you believed in.

I am not blaming Christ. I said I like to write about this wonderful Person - Christ.

Waiting here over ten years and still haven't seen you come up with anything better.

What is it ????
Or, you're humble and are not here to convince anyone of anything. Got it.

I think you should stick with your religious beliefs if that's the right thing for you. I don't want you to adopt my stance on anything.

Like I said, it's interesting how many of your threads turn out to be Vanity Car Crash Threads™

That was so good to you that you needed to repeat it.

And like I said, we Christians are hardly looking for your renown Atheist Seal of Approval.
I'm not. Your disapproval signals that I am probably on the right track to talk more about Christ. You know, you don't HAVE to read it.

Whether it's belief in "Christ" or belief in "Baal" that makes you behave the way you do, it's beside the point.
