I'm just wondering if non-believers in Santa Claus
are compelled to steal presents once a year?

And as for the scum that don't believe in the Tooth Fairy ....

@Duchess64

Can Sonship explain why away why some atheists were killed by Hitler or Stalin?

Your reasoning is as flimsy as me arguing that the Spanish Inquisition was not a fanatical religious event because many Christians were killed.

Conspicuously unanswered by Duchess64:

Which do you think provided more FUEL to this mass extermination of unborn women (and men):

1.) Biblical concepts of humans being created in the image of God and invested with a spiritual and immaterial dignity from conception.

2.) Humans as more purely material collection of atoms and for whom likely no final accounting for their extermination of convenience will have to be answered for.

In short which do you think provided more ideological fuel for this holocaust - Christian (or biblical) theology or Atheism ?

The irony is that a poster like you would complain about a question being "conspicuously unanswered". You're such a hypocrite sometimes, you make me giggle.

Your all knowing, all powerful skygod could have prevented this with scarcely a wave of his hand but deliberately chose to do nothing ( as usual ).

The Canaanites were sacrificing children to burning statues of bull headed idols, having relations with animals, and practicing incest of all kinds.

God gave them 400 years plus another 40 and did something ... the conquest and judgment carried out by the army of Jehovah.

So you complain out of both sides of your slandering mouth.

The very idea that you think there is some sort of peerlessly perfect supernatural being "flowing through" you ~ an entity you believe you are "becoming like" is also worth a giggle. Not sure it's a "goofy" one though.

A lot of cherry picking goes on to expose or defend 20th tyrants as Christian or Atheist.

HItler and altar boy so he was Christian
Stalin in seminary so he was Christian.

There is no shortage of atheist apologist trying to distance these men from their beloved cause and tie them to Christianity instead.

A statement on Maos anti-religious materialism in the exchanges:

Apr 9, 2017 at 9:45 pm
85John Bradfield says:
It is incredibly deceitful to cherry pick certain atheists without representing one of the most notorious atheists: Mao.

In “Mao: The Unknown Story” by Jung Chang and Jon Halliday, the incredible biography is presented as a historical narrative in which the authors reveal the unknown truth about Mao’s life and monstrous immorality. Mao’s atheistic naturalism/materialism served as a moral bedrock for his atrocities. His defiant disbelief in theism drove him to eradicate religion (specifically documented from Tibet) and say, “Religion is poison” (453-454). He regarded the failure Eastern European countries as a lack of willingness to kill, “We must kill,” he declared, “And we say it’s good to kill” (416). Mao didn’t believe in God, but “dialectics, and so we can’t not be in favor of death” (430). It was his materialism and dialectic philosophy that CAUSED his favor towards death and suffering. “He saw practical advantage in massive deaths, ‘Death have benefits,’” and “They can fertilize the ground” (431). When invading and destroying the Tibetan’s way of life the biographers note, “Mao was bent on destroying religion, the essence of most Tibetan’s lives” (448). The Panchen Lama wrote, “Holy Scriptures were used for manure, and pictures of the Buddha and sutras were deliberately used to make shoes” (448). He denounced “Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity” as “anti-Marxist” (440) and tried desperately to rule the world.

His “senior officials who invoked that traditional concept of conscience (liang-xin) to beg him to go easy found themselves being slapped down with remarks: ‘You’d better have less conscience. Some of our comrades too much mercy, not enough brutality, which means they are not so Marxist.’ ‘On this matter,’ Mao said, ‘we indeed have no conscience! Marxism is that brutal’” (387).

I’ll be very surprised if my comments are allowed on this page, thus, A) exposing the lack of search or B) exposing the intentional deceit of the atheist atrocities.

Stalin, Mao, Hitler tally up between them about 100 million deaths.

Became a man to be our Redeemer that we ALL Might not be miserably judged, carrying up the sins of the world in Himself in the new covenant.

Don't forget the Belgian Congo at the beginning of the C20th. That may have been 20,000,000.

@DeepThought

I definitely do not agree that either they or the Soviets were motivated to their genocides by anti-religious zeal.

Stalin burned religious edifices.
Mao had gatherings of Christians policed and their leaders jailed for the rest of their lives and killed.
The North Korean dictators of last three iterations attained virtual deification ...[text shortened]... ng to get.

Try taking a suit case of Bibles into North Korea or China. See what happens to you.
This is not the point. I did not say that they were not anti-religious. I did not say that the Soviets did not oppress people for following religions. The point is that they were not motivated in their conquests by atheism. In the case of the Nazis they were trying to win the First World War by starting the second one, and in the case of the Soviets it was counter-invasion. China's invasion of Tibet has more to do with regaining control of a former province than antipathy to Buddhism. In none of these cases was atheism a factor in their decision making, nor was it a justification for their invasions. The same cannot be said of either the Crusades or Jihads.

Aside from that your list of acts of Stalin, Mao and Kim do not refer to War Crimes. So there's a category problem with your post from the start.
