I don't have a lot of faith, if any at all.
I was raised a Roman Catholic in dreary
old Dublin Town in the 1960's when the
church was a lot more powerful than it
is now.

But I can see where you are leading.
You think that if all good people go to
heaven then there will be se, why would he confine his Kingdom to the earth?

Do you not see flaws in that situation?
If you were going to pick members of a board of directors in a business, would you be better picking those persons who knew next to nothing about the business or persons who had come up through the ranks and new every aspect of that business?

Jesus was tested dont you know, so that he could qualify to become King of Gods Kingdom! Humans are tested as to integrity and fidelity and who better to be able to empathise with them than other humans who have went through similar experiences. No angel could do this.

This is not arrogant, its the course of wisdom Johnny.

You need knowledge Johnny, get a Bible study the next time the witnesses call at your home, pronto, or go to the Kingdom hall and ask for one. My great grandparents had to leave Ireland because of religion, mixed marriages were simply not tolerated and even my fathers own family, who were Catholics, boycotted his wedding because he married a protestant. That was in the 60's.

before you can exercise faith, you need knowledge.

It seems to me that if that was what God wanted
then he had the power to bring it about long
before now.

You are talking nonsense.

Plus, you have not addressed the question.

If your God exists and has ruled for so long,
why would he need 144,000 humans to rule
with him? Do you imagine that they too will
have magical powers bestowed upon them?
What about God's Kingdom? Is to be only
confined to earth? Has the rest of the universe
to be forgotten? Is it to be irrelevant?

I have heard it said that some of your people ( JW's )
partake of the bread and wine ceremony
because they think they are members of the 144,000.
Is that not arrogance of the highest order?

Maybe you'll explain how these members of your band
pass themselves of as these members of the elect
and how were they chosen over others?

So I take it then you won't answer the questions?

How is it that God needs 144,000 humans to rule with him
and how do certain members of your organization claim to
be part of this 144,000 elect group of elite people who partake
of your bread and wine ceremony in the Kingdom Hall?

I was told only these group of people take the bread and wine.
The rest of the congregation do not.

Is that right? or is it incorrect?

Typical evasion of questions you cannot answer.

Your organization arrogantly thinks that 144,000
of its members are going to rule with a God that
you have no proof exists.

Further to that end you think that this omnipotent God
who created the whole universe and everything in it is
only interested in ruling the earth and no place else
together with these 144,000 humans.

Who is operating in the real world here Robbie?

I can answer them easily but you are being a slap-head and I rarely argue with slap-heads. Like all slap heads you fail to realise that religious teaching exists whether there is direct proof of God or not, you somehow think the two are synonymous. Slap yer heid an get a grip.

He is just calling it like he sees it. Isn't it your job as a JW to convert him to see it like the Watchtower Society?

Oh, that must be my problem. I should have learned a couple other languages, then I could speak in tongues.

By unlearned, I meant you have not been taught this section of scripture. It is God's will that we all speak in tongues. No need for sarcasm.

I believe it was originally God's will that we speak in one language, until sin increased and he was forced to confuse that language so that sinful man would not understand each other. Pentecost is an example of the Holy Spirits power to allow all men to speak and understand each other. The apostle Paul said it does no good to speak in tongues if nobody understands and there is no interpretor.
