Would you rather be a man or a cockroach?

Dance.

I expect FMF to come back with something like, he had no choice so the question is meaningless.

We'll see what fancy philosophical footwork FMF will come up with to reply.
His task - to not say anything suggesting human beings might be in any way better that the poor under appreciated cockroach.

A human: I wouldn't have to be a male. It'd be fine to be a woman too. I wouldn't want to be a cockroach. Looking through the prism human consciousness gives us, I'd be surprised to find any human would rather be a cockroach.

@FMF

Did I imply that a woman is not a human being?

Did I imply that man excludes female human beings?

Being human is better - in just about every way I can think of - than being a cockroach Haven't you been reading the thread?

Exactly. Why?

So you prefer to be a man than a cockroach.
(Cute caveats notwithstanding).

What do you mean looking through the prism etc.?

Are you saying if you looked through a cockroach prism you would choose differently?

Don't dance then.

No but you did ask me if I would rather be a man instead of asking me if I'd rather be a human

I have no idea what a cockroach's prism is like.

What would you reply to the charge that you are practicing an undue "specieism?"

How would you respond to someone charging you with a Species preference like Racism, quite [edited] unwarranted and self servingly bias towards humans?

In this case, I would not care.

I probably wouldn't take them very seriously but if they had the debating style and personal/intellectual equilibrium of someone like, say, moonbus, it might be interesting to hear them out.

Could this apathetic "not caring" of yours be taken by some as stubborn dogmatism quite close minded to reasonable counter arguments?
