God chuckles at prayers to win, when it's the point spread that matters.
Wait, do people bet on the point spread in soccer? I mean, there's so rarely much of one.

Who will you be praying to?
Why not pray for no suicides?
I have no reason to really pray. Ok

Hmm. While on the one hand I think it's a bit silly for athletes to point to the sky after every touchdown they score, I can't help but think your statement is a tad absolutist. Righteous people are NEVER supposed to pray for a sports team? Why not?

OK so Saudi Arabia clearly don’t have one...
But more seriously here is something to ponder over; of the billions of prayers going up for each of the teams, who’s prayers do you think God will respond to?
If he responds to prayers from supporters of more than one team would that be disingenuous?
If he goes by “the prayers of a righteous man” ( ...[text shortened]... ” level?
And what about the prayers of the “righteous” who support other teams?
Thoughts?
I can see some scenario where, conceivably, it is very beneficial for John Carpenter the poor man to get the job, or how the entire esteem of the nation of Egypt can feel uplifted during dark times through the light of sports...
But like... IDK...
Is there really some rich discussion to be had from thinking what if 100,000 men in England & 100,000 men in France are all praying for a victory in the WOrld Cup Quarter finals?
Both teams can't win. Gotcha, Christians. LOL! /Christfail.
Right... Because clearly this was the original intention of prayer:
Put enough coins into the slot and your team does well at the World Cup.

I didn’t pray once that England would win, but they did...
I didn't have faith that they would win, but they did...
England just turned up and did good work, and won...
So much for faith and prayer then...
