17 - 15 well done Ireland
two tries to nil
Pens to Jones.
O'Gara Drop goal in the last two mins.
Irelands first Grand Slam in 60 odd years.
Should drop goals be worth just one point?
I said it before...yes yes yes.

How wrong could you get it.
Prediction that Ireland would get 0 points couldn't have been any more wrong! Eat your words you stupid f****r.
They are amazing! Closing out games is an Irish speciality. Look at Munster! How could you possibly think they wouldn't win single game. Bring on 2011!

ireland is NOT munster. ireland have flapped time and time again in big matches in the last 10 years. why do you think they didn't win a 6 nations until now with a lot of the same players?
it was the kidney affect...i still say france in he best team in the NH.
you obviously don't have an idea what you're talking about.

Gee, you southern hemisphere people sure have a fine impression of yourselves dont you.
I still have the non choking teams rated to make the final in 2011.
The game down under is being played faster so far.
As for impressions, don't forget what the down under teams did to European rugby just a few months ago... The ABs did the grand slam in 5 five weeks. All along I doubted their ability to do it but they sure did.

good of you to try to cover up your friend's bad form like that
I still haven't forgiven SA for poisoning Laurie Mains team. Of course we believe the story that it was just an over exuberant fan operating all on her own.
At least they banned SA giving gold rolexs and diamond cuff-links to the refs and host union members as hospitality. (A club player mate of mine got one when they toured here in 1981) Hopefully those days are gone.
I do think at RWC 2011 time things will be very close at the top and will obviously depend on who can turn up the pressure at the right time.
NZ always gets bogged down with game plans and stupid visualisation stimuli then get chipped when running too cocky and too flat. It's always been our down fall.

i have to agree though as much as it pains me to say it the SH teams are better than NH teams. i would say that if everyone was playing at their best only france would have a real chance of beating one of them. the stats prove how much better they are, only one world cup for the NH and they come out the losers time after time in the june and november test matches.
Originally posted by CrowleyBit of a mixed bag this season in the Super 14. I'm sure the Bulls or even the Chiefs at present may do well but I don;t share your confidence this season. We've lost a lot of depth this season to overseas. Though a lot are clambering to come back and are begging for dispensation to return to the NZRU.
The only "bad form" I can see is that of the 6 Nations teams.
I would even play any 6 Nations team against the top Super 14 teams at the moment.
Super rugby changed the boundaries and swapped player around. I had been a North Harbour fan since Buck Shelfords days.. never missed a game Then along came super rugby and amalgamated them with Northland and Waikato which is like trying to amalgamate SA with NZ. We hated Waikato at that stage and our local stadium was half empty at the early super games.
Now many players are swapped around on transfers each season people have got used to the regional rugby. I even moved to Waikato (has taken 9 years to become a supported of the Chiefs) Chiefs still have a core of Waikato guys and have staunch Waikato unit Ian Foster at the helm..they are show some new form.
A few years back we saw a dominant Canterbury era and a dominant Auckland era.. those teams would have beaten any team anywhere international or not. I was at the Auckland Lions game in 83...hahaha Auckland out muscled them, Smoking Joe Stanley dominated the midfield and debutante Grant Fox kept them back with pin point 60m punts. All class.
I wish Super Rugby would go away. Its only for money and TV and it's driving the fans away from rugby in their droves. Talkback Radio is full of league and disgust at whats happened to rugby, how the bosses and commercialism have stuffed it up. The remaining passion here is in the rural clubs. They still support their home players all the way through the ranks but beg for the emphasis to be put back on our National Provincial rugby. NZ rugby has gone way way way down hill thanks to super dooper rugby.

Originally posted by CrowleyI thought it was a great game to watch. Passion, commitment and all the right stuff that goes into great rugby. And the skills were all there including ball retention, something the Boks are often woeful at. The Lions are going to be very tough. I can see that Welsh scrummy being a handful.
Wow.
If this is the best the Northern hemisphere can produce rugby-wise, then you guys will be shedding crocodile tears for the foreseeable future.
