Yes, those people around the corner husking the corn were the criminals.

Unfortunately, no real interesting match ups this week. It's just the top teams against the sisters of charity.

Of course, some might argue that LSU vs WVU is an interesting match up since they are all in the top 25, however, I would say that WVU is not good enough to lick the boots of LSU. What a joke of a match up.

I don't know why whodey even bothers to watch sports.

For those of us without his unrelenting pissy attitude, there's an interesting choice of games at 3:30:

Oklahoma State - Texas A & M
Arkansas - Alabama
Florida State - Clemson

Probably the Crimson Tide game will have the biggest impact on the Big Picture. They are solid favorites but the Razorbacks have been a dangerous SEC team for years. Okie State and Texas A & M come in undefeated and the winner may be the most legit challenger to derail Oklahoma in the Big 12.

I watched Clemson end Auburn's winning streak last week and they are an interesting squad. If the Arkansas-Alabama game turns ugly, I'll probably watch the Tigers.

Others? Big Ten powerhouse Wisconsin hosts South Dakota if you're in to that type of thing.

Gotta love "dangerous SEC opponent". Every team in the SEC is upgraded for simply being in the SEC. If eaTme gets into the SEC, then they too will become a dangerous SEC opponent.

Arkansas in currently undefeated and ranked in the Top 15 after going 10-2 and making it to a BCS bowl last year. That's a bit more than simply being a team in the SEC.

Then why didn't you just say, "a tough opponent"?

I agree that Arkansas is good. I was just commenting on the SEC designation helping to make them good.

The SEC has been the best conference in NCAA football for years. A dangerous SEC team is a bit more dangerous than say a dangerous ACC one.

What can you say? The SEC rules.

What has it been now, a decade? How many more decades do you think it will be?

My Buckeyes got a little better every year until they finally knocked off an SEC team after 9 tries at doing so. Then they cut them off at the knees by gutting the team. Who knows, maybe they can build themselves back so that someone can actually knock one off a again.

At times, I'm not so sure either. Of course, if anyone deserves to have a pissy attitude its Whodey. Any idea where "Whodey" comes from? That's right, from the Bengals. They are the team that ESPN just got done rating, not only the worst NFL football team, but the worst professional sports franchize in the US. That is quiet an accomplishment if you ask me. You even have a QB in Carson Palmer flat out refuse to play for them. He would rather flush $50 million down the comode than play for them again so I guess he retired. Don't get me wrong, he wants to play, he just does not want to play there.

I suppose the last straw was the gutting of the Buckeys. It was the only source of sporting joy I had, then the gutted the team. We went from being a potential #1 this year to falling out of the top 20 with an unknown toll on future years yet to be determined.

As a result, I feel I have earned the right to be a little pissy. Thanks for asking.

In the interim, I will try to endure the mindless repitition of sporting championships by the SEC and the Yankees and their high payroll kin. As for the NFL, I stopped watching altogether. I simply could not pick up another team. My only interest in the NFL now is to see exactly how low the Bengals can sink. I was hoping for an 0-16 season, but they nixed that hope the very first game by beating the Clowns. :'(

You know whodey, I am absolutely no fan of Ohio St. football and I love to cheer their losses - much like Notre Dame and a few other programs - but in no way does that mean that I cheer against a fan like yourself. Ohio St. has really sodomized themself badly and the fan pays the biggest price for their idiocy. Is, or will, Pryor going to suffer for what he inflicted on the program and the fans? Of course not. It is more than disappointing to me that the Ohio St. program is in shambles. For awhile now, if Oregon were to actually get a victory over the Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl, it's not going to be the same. We want a full strength Buckeye program, same as you. It's just really really disappointing, and I know that doesn't even come close to your disdain over what has become of Ohio St. football.

Will LSU or Alabama move ahead of Oklahoma for #1? Both scored impressive wins over quality opponents while the Sooners struggled at home against Missouri winning by only 10 and giving up 532 yards.

Surprised you aren't hawking that amazing Boise State victory over a powerhouse
team.

In answer to your question, Arkansas is no better than Missouri, so I don't see Alabama
leapfrogging OU.

However, LSU has three road wins aver ranked teams, so I believe they will move to #1.

How do you figure Arkansas is no better than Missouri? Arkansas would eat them for lunch!!

As for LSU, of course they are #1. Who cares what the polls show because they will be at the NCG in the end so long as Florida or Alabama don't have a say in it, just like it is year after year. I think placing a Big 12 team ahead of SEC teams for #1 is just plain silly period. I think they do it to create some illusion of parity.
