Well, if it is any consolation, the Giants are looking good at the half.

I haven't looked at the spreads yet, but regardless of what they are, I'm taking Baltimore and the points and the Giants.

I figure without looking that NE will be about a 7 point fave and SF will be giving a couple of points.

Good guesses. http://www.footballlocks.com/nfl_point_spreads.shtml

I'm surprised the Pats are favored by that much.

They give you about 3 points for being at home. Add to that NE's more impressive margin of victory this week and the perception that NE is a dominant team and a touchdown seems about right.

The teams had the same record and New England had a much weaker opponent in the divisional round. Since 2007, Baltimore and New England have played 4 times (3 in Foxboro) and New England has a 6 point win, two 3 point wins (one in OT) and a crushing 33-14 loss in playoffs two years ago. Three of those games, including the playoff rout, were at New England.

I could see 3 or 4 points but more than a TD?

I go 3-1 this week so I'm ahead for the playoffs! I think SC went 3-1 too which puts me a game up... for the playoffs.

Nope, not exactly. Here are the updated standings.

Trev went 2-2 this weekend and is now........... 17-11

tomtom went 3-1 this weekend and is now ......17-10

shortcircuit went 2-2 this weekend and is now..16-11

Grampy did not turn in his picks and remains...12-12

sh76 went 1-3 this weekend and is now ..........12-15

if we allow Grampy the courtesy he gave to tomtom and sh76 in the beginning,
he would be granted a 1-3 record for the weekend raising his total to 13-15.

That puts me in first place, right?

I mean the column on the right is the one that counts. No?

Hey, it must work that way in Europe or something.

LOL, you would need a complete collapse of the world killing all other participants to
move up....and even then you would come up a bit short. 😉

7 1/2 in the AFC and 2 1/2 in the NFC I think are the lines.

I'll go with San Fran over the Giants and Baltimore beats the spread for sure.
