My world series Prediction is that the Tigers will play the Cardinals.

What, again? The last time (in 2006) both teams were the wildcard. The Cardinals were 83-78 and ended up winning the World Series.

I'd like to see the Tigers vs. the Diamondbacks. We'd get to square off against our old buddy, Kirk Gibson.

I hope the cards don't reach the WS for the sole reason that i saw them at 40/1 to do so about a month ago, thought about placing a bet and didn't.

Regrettably you're probably right. I just can't see how anyone can bet the Phillies!

Rayz the roof!

If it can't be National League (hate the DH), I'll be rootin' for the locals.

I know the season games don't matter any more but the cards do have a good chance at beating the phillies because the Cards won 6 out of their 9 matches. So that has to count for something.

Great balls of fire, that was a nail-biter. Great performance by Scherzer, muffed pop up by Avila, and just enough from Valverde. On to game three. I'll be there.

That whole suspended game fiasco interfered with his mojo, I'm sure. Since he was 'relieving' Verlander instead of being the true starter of game one, it messed things up. Yeah, that's it. He'll be back to his invincible self on Tuesday. You'll see. The Yankees are doomed now. It'll be Tigers in four, just like in 2006.

Yep, we'll see. Now, if I were managing the Yankees,
I would not match Sabbathia against Verlander. I would throw Sabbathia in game four and then Nova in game 5 and
send the Tigers home in style....losers in a 5 game series. Let's see how it works out Joe's way.

I tend to agree with you about matching up to win games 4 and 5, but managers never want to tell their guy (Sabathia) that he's not as good as someone else's guy (Verlander) even if he obviously is not.
