Jacksonville will beat the Colts on Monday night.
Would have been a game if Gerrard hadn't went down; it was only 7-0 at that point (early in 2nd Quarter) and the Jags were at midfield. The Jacksonville backup quarterback was absolutely terrible. Well injuries are part of the sport.
Indy looked very impressive though I doubt Brady will toss 4 picks against them. Both they and the Pats have tough games this week; the Redskin defense will be a good test for the Cheats from the East. And the Panthers are a really good road team. I don't think either team will get anywhere near 16-0.

Vinny had his moment, but I've always thought Carr was a pretty decent QB who never got any time with those horrid Texan offensive lines. I think the Carolina defense is still pretty good; they've only given up 5 passing TDs all year and their run defense is above average. They'll have to put at least 24 points on the board to have any chance to win and I think Carr gives them a better chance to do that then Vinny does.

I'm not convinced that the Houston O-line was entirely to blame for Carr's poor performance over the years. Matt Schaub didn't seem to have as much trouble completing passes with the same O-line. However, Houston has gotten worse every week since starting 2-0.

Let's see if I can keep a perfect record in this thread; take the Redskins and the 16 1/2 against the Pats. Brady's on pace to throw 62 TDs and only 5 INTs and that's impossible to keep up. The Skins are 5th in the league in total defense and opposing QBs have the lowest QB rating in the league against them. I don't think the Pats are going to roll up 34+ points against them. The Skin offense ain't much but I think they keep it close.

Washington has a solid defense, but New England is just simply playing on a different level this season, and making otherwise good teams look silly.

Prediction- Pats win by at least 3 touchdowns.

But I am really interested in seeing just how good the Washington defense really is. I think it is possible we can learn something about Washington. I don't know how much Washington can score but if the Skins can slow Brady's offense down it might give us a better idea of what the NFC east is going to look like down the stretch. I am not going to bet Washington after seeing New England at work. NE is looking too darn good. NE could have a bad game but I don't think so.

Rams will WIN this week!!! I am going to watch the game. And, when they win, I will count it as sevenfold - and PUNISH those who have laughed at them. And, since I know alot of Browns fans....heh heh heh. Then, I get to be prideful through the bye week.
Rams: 22
Browns: 12
CLE: 4-3 record, first back-to-back wins since 2003, vs. SEA next week

P-
I give up; the Pats and Colts are more dominant than any two teams ever were in one season. It's a shame to think that it's between two clubs this early but barring some rash of injuries to one or both these teams, I don't see anybody else competing with them. Guess I'll have to start a college football thread ...............
BTW Phlab, the Pats were really classless. Going for 4th downs ahead 38-0 and 45-0 was bad enough, but making monster spikes and endzone celebrations when you're up 45-0 and 52-0 was really bush. Some day the universal law of karma is going to even up on your gals.
