What a shame that third goal was. Can't really blame that on Fleury, either. It just got lost and he fell on it.
At least the Pens should be as good if not better next year. Especially Fleury.
Edit: Zetterburg named MVP.
Even though I am not really into hockey I ended up watching a good bit of the series. Just a few obeservations, the series was like watching David and Goliath. It seemed as if the Red Wings took twice as many shots per game as the Penguins yet the Penguins managed to win 2 games. Also, judging from all the Stanley Cup banners hanging in Detroit it appears that the Red Wings are the Yankees of hockey. Naturally I was rooting against them as a result.
Originally posted by zakkwylderThere was an interference call earlier in the game that should have been called, too. Someone skated right through the back of Fleury and down he went onto the ice. I didn't see the play where the puck went in well enough to know what you mean, but I don't doubt for a second that you're right.

Anyways, good series. Can't say the Pens didn't have chances. Two separate 5 on 3 chances blown. Good job, Detroit!
'Til next season...

Originally posted by GalaxyShieldAs far as the time went where the guy skated into Fleury behind the net, Fleury really didn't need to be out there and do to the size of a goaltender, he didn't leave that Red Wind many places to go so I can kind of understand why there was no call despite the technicalities of the situation.

I'm sure you'll be able to find that goal on youtube withing the next few days, it is clear that the Red Wing attackers forcefully ran right into him.
Though I know this is hockey and not basketball, had it been basketball they would have both been called for charging and the point wouldn't have counted.
