Doesn't matter with how they win as long as they win. They can win with passing, rushing, defense, special teams. Tell me this, how come when the Giants win the S ...[text shortened]... s it cause they don't have flashy players or superstars or is it cause they win in ugly ways?
"Jumped on the Giants bandwagon"???????? Virtually every expert in the preseason picked Dallas to win the NFC East and most didn't even pick the Giants to make the playoffs. Winning the Super Bowl got them zero respect. But their latest run of victories against the Steelers, Cowboys, Eagles and Ravens (teams with a combined record of 24-15-1) and the impressive manner of the wins has elevated them to the top spot in most eyes. The Titans really have only one impressive victory against a good team - over the Colts - and the Colts were pretty banged up.

I still don't think in the end that a team with a good, but not great defense, and a below average QB like Collins can win the whole thing or even more than a game in the playoffs. The Titans get a big test this week against the Jets (though it is at home) and end up with the Steelers and the now surging Colts. Win (or even two of those) and I might change my mind. As it is, I see a good team with a so-so offense winning their games against very weak competition and struggling in most of the games.

I agree on all counts. They struggled against a team in the Jaguars this week that has glaring weaknesses.

A good defense, they have ARGUABLY THE BEST defense in the league. Player for player, their defense is better than the Giants.

Besides by now the last 2 games should not matter. We will MORE THAN LIKELY have a number 1 seed in the playoffs locked up and therefore will be able to REST our starters the last 2 weeks. So if they lose to the Steelers and Colts while playing 2nd and 3rd string guys, will that REALLY be indicative of how good the team is? But then again if they win with 2nd and 3rd stingers it just goes to show how GOOD this team is. LOL

Only a complete homer would make the ridiculous claim that the Titan defense is better than the Giants'. Study this chart: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/sortableStatsTeam?div=NFL&stype=defense&stable=overall&stat=overallYpg&dir=ascending&season=regular

And also consider what a creampuff schedule the Titans have played.

Good to see you have pre-made excuses for when you finally play some good teams.

The only 2 stats that matter in my book are turnover margin and points allowed. And guess who leads both, OH YEAH THE TITANS. It doesn't matter how many yards a game you allow as long as you win the game in the end. And the Titans have done that EVERY game. And I"m tired of hearing well they play a creampuff schedule because all the teams they play ARE still NFL teams and any of them, even the lowly Lions or Raiders could beat the best college football team in the nation. Not only that, but they can't help who they play. They are beating the teams they are supposed to beat unlike anyone else. If the Giants got a weaker schedule like the Titans did THIS year, nobody would be denying that they were a great team because they play weaker opponents. It is not fair to determine how good a team is based on how good their opponents are.

Only 1 team has an undefeated perfect season. And that is the Miami Dolphins...

And I"m not saying the Titans will go undefeated, in fact I've said that it is highly unlikely. If I say anything about going 19-0 I'm joking. LOL I mean it could happen but MOST LIKELY won't. All I'm saying is the Titans deserve more credit than they deserve. It is not fair to base how good a team is on how bad their oppoenents are. They can't help who they are scheduled to play. If the Giants had the same schedule the Titans did this year, then no one would be denying that they are a Super Bowl contender let alone a good team.

No one's denying the Titans are a good team.

No one's denying they are a Super Bowl contender.

I'm simply saying that I don't think they are as good as a 10-0 record makes them look. I've given my reasons why I don't think they will win the AFC Championship. IF the Giants had played the same schedule and played the same way as the Titans have this year (and had Collins at QB), I'd be skeptical of their chances, too (though the fact the Giants won last year would somewhat temper that skepticism).

Sorry, have I mistaken your comments?
The Giants look every good SuperBowl champions once again.
An ever improving Manning with a running game second to none.
Warner v Manning will prove my point this weekend.
Brandon Jocobs could or will end end up MVP this year, owesome.
Bring on whoever, cetainly no team in the NFC can touch the Giants this year.

Yes, you have mistaken my comments.

It is, however, premature to anoint the Giants NFC champs; they have 6 games remaining and all look to be tough.

I'm pulling for the titans in this one. Why? Jets loss and Dolphins win puts the Fins in a tie for first.

Hahaha two teams that have been REALLY suprising this year are the Dolphins and Falcons. Both have completely turned their seasons around. Titans at 10-0 is a bit of a surprise also but not as big because I think they were expected to be playoff contenders since they made the playoffs last year.

I still believe my Steelers can take the Titans when it counts... In the AFC Championship game!!! Their week 16 match-up won't count really for anything except making sure they don't reveal too much of what they want to do for the postseason against each other.

BB King can be heard singing

"The Thrill is Gone,
The Titans just lost today,
Yeah the thrill is gone,
The Jets just blew them right away.
Brett Farve is a quarterback,
And Kerry Collins is an also ran."
