Well it doens't look great at the moment. Australia clearly the better team. England have one bowler and one batsman 😳

I think Freddie might struggle with the bat through this series. I reckon Harmy will get some form back though and be a danger.

Good day for England. Collingwood and Pieterson showing they can take it to the Aussie attack. I think it's good for us that Flintoff threw his wicket away in a test we've already lost. He's had a habit of doing that in the past, and hopefully the embarrassment of it in front of the team he's supposed to be leading will mean he won't do it again all series.

Yes.

But the secong innings score of 370 is actually a good final innings score, giving a hint of what may have happened if we hadn't bowled so badly.

At least we finished with some pride intact.

With the exception of Strauss, Bell and Flintoff all batted well.

The cracks are starting to appear in dad's army:
Ricky "ooh my back" Ponting, missed most of yesterday in the field on the physio bench.
Glen "I'm a comedian pretending to have a bad back, but actually do have a bruised heel" McGrath, hardly bowled in the last innings, got slaughtered by Pietersen and scraped one wicket all innings.

Hopefully, the selectors will realise the futility of picking a bowler for his batting ability (idiots) and pich Panesar instead of Giles.
Also Mahmoood needs to come in for the expensive Anderson.
Harmison needs to learn to bowl a slow ball and the yorker.

Then we will level the series.

Oh you mean Ricky "256 Runs" Ponting and Glenn "7 wickets for 103 off 42 overs" McGrath. Yes, the cracks certainly are showing arent they...

Hey, we're allowed a bit of optimism, aren't we?

As long as Mcgrath is fit, he'll put the ball in the right areas every time.

But, IF he does have fitness problems, especially in the middle of a Test, the Aussie bowling looks very stretched.

True, but then we might stand the chance of a draw.

Unless our bowlers improve, we aren't going to take 20 Aussie wickets anytime soon.
