Your point is "tried" to kick, but did not. He restrained himself.
He tried to kick him, but he missed. He did not restrain himself at all.
Look the incident up on youtube, there are plenty of videos if you are still not sure.
Originally posted by hopscotchGo get an eye exam already. You can clearly see Nigerian player holding back his foot after thinking better about what he was doing. Red carding a player for a piddly argument over a throw in or possession on side line is a sorry excess of ref authority. Go ahead and say no more because you know you're wrong. That play is not a send off. Same way Klose's should never have been a send off. A verbal warning in both instances would have been enough. If there is recidivism after the verbal warning then by all means. Next they'll be sending people off for looking ugly at other players. Let them play, I say!!!!!!

Originally posted by scacchipazzoyeah and USA are not that bad either, they are doing ok...all teams performances fluctuate somewhat...you pepole spend to much time analysing everything...as if you all dont already know any result is possible.
Goes without saying that USA is not that good. You're absolutely right. Never said they were good. But because they are not that good England drawing and with a whimper at that is a bad bad sign about how overrated they truly are. I saw France as listless, lifeless and almost comatose. No cohesion, just like England. Great individual players. That's abo ...[text shortened]... win since France will end the WC without goals and likely would not have score again anyway.
Originally posted by barstuddThey made the right adjustments. Let's hope Soceroos did the same. I undserstand their coach is quite good at making such adjustments. With Germany loss grous is wide open for the takers. Aussies need to take care of Ghana and they can. One thing I like about Aussies is that they seem to have no quit in them.

Serbia beating Germany doesn't make the socceroos chances any easier but still they are not a total write off just yet...
Originally posted by barstuddlol, its alright for you Aussies, you got barbecues plumbed in to your houses, sun shines every day and you have teams that win stuff! your women ride on the back of your trucks so that your beer can ride in comfort inside, man have you got it sussed!
frying the desire still are you?

He might even be able to do the impossible, which is make the French feel sorry for Domenech...even if for just a short time.
draw in the mexico/uruguay match is 3/4... when have you ever saw odds like that for a draw?
Originally posted by trev33It's worse than this, there are apparently groups in the team divided by social background with lots of tension going on. Rumours that Gorcouff is bullied and what not.

It's a real mess for a team that some years ago was a great example of ethnic diversity.

Originally posted by Loose ScrewI thought it was quite impressive how the players didn't even have to sweat in order to win from Japan. Affelay really should have made it 2 though...
Holland! ... Holland! ... Holland! ...
Maybe not impressive, but still ... 2 games played, 2 wins, 3 goals scored and no goals against us. 🙂
Holland! ... Holland! ... Holland! ...
We are going to win it this time. (I hope)
