Improvement is not always found in the results.
The US was hardly ever a fun team to watch. A hard working collective yes, but little skill, not a team that could create many chances. This tournament was the opposite due to Klinsmann.
Surviving a poule with Germany, Portugal and Ghana is an achievement itself, but the way it was achieved, that was impressive. Creative, fast play, much better skilled in passing, in controlling the ball, improvement in thinking ahead. The US was fun!
Well, that's what I saw.
By the way, WC 2006 wasn't a strong championship was it?
Well, my 2 picks have made the semis 🙂 too bad they're against each other lol
Also, I made the following additional bet yesterday (4-match accumulator):
Germany to beat France within 90 mins
Brazil to beat Colombia within 90 mins
Argentina to beat Belgium within 90 mins
Holland vs Costa Rica to go to extra time (draw after 90 mins)
£5 @ 40/1
£200 if it comes in! Fingers crossed for tomorrow 😀
