Actually it's not that big of an upset. Miko's rating was up to 1882 before the steep crash.

9.Ne5?? was horrible blunder - after 9.0-0 white is slightly better.

Yes. After 9. 0-0..... Tebb would have been 'brave' to capture. White with a pawn and a dislplaced King for his Knight still has a game. The resignation may have been hasty.

Unfortunately for White he can't castle in the final position because he's in check! So he won't get much compensation for the piece,

Some curious facts: At the moment, all 8 players have a different score. And the lowest rated player has the most points. (He's also completed the most number of games).

Here are the standings based on the AVERAGE of current score and max possible score.

1. English Tal (6 - 42) = 24
2. David Tebb (7 - 40) = 23.5
3. cludi (5 - 38) = 21.5
4-5. Salin Vitalik (3 - 39) = 21
4-5. Gatecrasher (0 - 42) = 21
6. uffejaster (2 - 38) = 20
7. Pattrick08 (1 - 31) = 16
8. Philidor284 (9 - 21) = 15
