Fnugbatter progress only if futureman doesn't win none of his unfinished games.

Group 4 - Quirine (2098) progress.
Group 5 - Totally open. Joop506 (2032), ericfrelicot (2012) and Chess Slayer (1901) fight against each other to progress.
Joop506 is in the worst position. He lost important, maybe decisive, points against Oleg Margolin (1648) and unclescooby (1527), but if he win all his games he might progress alone.
If Chess Slayer win his game against tommyg007 (1519), and he might win, he just have to win a game against ericfrelicot and draw another against Joop506 to progress.
If ericfrelicot win a game against Chess Slayer and draw another against Joop506, he progress.
If Joop506 draw a game against one of the other candidates, he must win all other games and beg for Chess Slayer and ericfrelicot even their games against each other to progress.

If Duhian lose all his unfinished games, touareg and rossoboy fight for the 2nd round. Unlikely.
Group 11 - hooptroop (1645) progress.
Group 12 - Baca (2242) progress.
Group 13 - GauravV (1675) progress.

Group 15 - Totally open. SteveC (2035), ivanhoe (1916) and David G (1900) fight against each other to progress.
If SteveC lose some points to ivanhoe, David G just have to beat his both opponents to progress.
If SteveC lose some points to David G, ivanhoe just have to beat SteveC and win a game from David G, or win both games against David G and a game from SteveC to progress.
SteveC just need to beat one of his opponents and win a game from the other to progress.
Group 16 - Open. Perrys (2105) progress. howardbradley (1618)progress if he win all his games, including his game against Perrys.
Group 17 - Totally open. cbd (1947) and Grand Master Gav (1878) fight against each other to progress.
Grand Master Gav have to beat cbd to progress alone.
If cbd draw both games or win a game he progress alone.

Well, my 2005 tournament is almost over, just waiting for the endgame of my last game to reach its inevitable conclusion.
In group 31 I did about 4 pts better than I would have expected to, so i'd say it went well. 🙂
As white I got a draw and two wins against higher rated players (150-200 pts difference for the wins, 300 for the draw).
As black I won one against a higher rated player, but lost two to lower rated players, one with a blunder I still have flashbacks over(!).
Anyway - good luck to Gatecrasher who is going through from this group, and I look forward to seeing who is king (or queen) of RHP 2005 at the end of the year.

Sure he's winning by two pawns but I have a pawn that has one more space to climb so it can get promoted. For that reason he doesn't want to give up his queen which I'm using to my advantage.
