@SicilianDragon Are you sure about that? The only way to play in a tournament is for you to click the "Join" button. Perhaps you forgot about joining this tournament. It was setup over a year ago. If you don't want to play, don't make any moves, and let it time out. You don't lose points that way. (But if you make a move, it affects your rating)
