Double Bishop Mate

Two bishops deliver checkmate by controlling diagonals around the opponent’s king.

The Double Bishop Mate is a checkmate pattern in chess where both bishops deliver checkmate to the opposing king. This pattern occurs when the king is forced to the corner or side of the board, and two bishops control the squares which the king could potentially move to.
