Boško Abramović is a Serbian chess Grandmaster. He was awarded the title of International Master in 1976 and of Grandmaster in 1984.


Abramović was born on January 27, 1951 in Belgrade, Serbia. His best results came in the early to mid-1980s. He finished joint first in the 1983 Yugoslav Championship. Abramović was among the leading Yugoslav players of his day, and his notable international tournament successes include joint first places at Amsterdam 1982 and Dortmund 1983.


Abramović was also successful in team competitions. He represented Yugoslavia at the European Team Championship in 1983, where the team won the gold medal. He also played for the Yugoslav team in 1984 Olympiad. In 1985, Abramović won a second prize in the '80 Years of Yugoslav Chess' tournament.


Abramović is considered a specialist in the King's Gambit. He has written several monographs and articles about various aspects of chess. His knowledge of all the phases of the game and his ability to clarify complex positions has made him a sought-after coach.


Abramović has also acted as a second, trainer and captain of the national women's team. Currently, he is the trainer of the Serbian chess federation and member of the board of "Chess Informant". His hobbies include writing and photography.
