Aditya Mittal is an Indian chess grandmaster. He was born on September 20, 2006, in Sonipat, playing chess from a very young age. Mittal is part of the Young Chess Players High-Performance Program instituted by the All India Chess Federation.

In 2016, Mittal won the National Under-10 Chess Championship and the Asian Youth Under-10 Chess Championship. The following year, he was victorious in the National Under-11 Chess Championship and the National Under-13 Chess Championship. Mittal also took part in the World Youth Chess Championships in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

In 2019, he won numerous chess tournaments, including the Prague Autumn Chess Open and the Polonia Wroclaw Chess Club Open, both held in the Czech Republic. He also achieved the title of International Master in the same year, followed by becoming Grandmaster in February 2021.

Mittal was the third-youngest Grandmaster in history at the time of his achievement; this record was then surpassed in September 2021 by Abhimanyu Mishra. Despite his young age, he is already highly ranked in both the world and India.
