I used to be an avid player until about 20 years ago. I would study the theory, read chess articles and books, and I played in a student club in Amsterdam. Since then I've played only a few games per year, usually against weaker opponents and without making too much of an effort. Now I want to start playing again because I miss the game and have forgotten just about everything I once knew. I'm sure I will enjoy it.
