CTI specialist/programmer, living in Wellington New Zealand
I like to play positionally, ergo my favourite chess players are Capablanca for the simple elegance of his games, Karpov for his squeezes and square control and Petrosian for his defence, prophylaxis and exchange sacrifice motifs.
The clock is part of the game too. I will take skulls.
Even if my position looks lost, you will have to prove you can win. Nobody ever won a game of chess by resigning. My chess instructor says "if you can't see how you might lose, play on!"
I concur with Apawnocalypse. This site does nothing about cheating players. I'm leaving as soon as my current games finish. I report obvious cheats and nothing gets done. How do I know they cheat? 1st you suspect. Their play is so good. You get a pgn and get it analyzed online here: https://www.chess.com/analysis. Note: even the Super GMs will make 1 or 2 or more mistakes. Cheats on this site report back perfect or near perfect games!! Point this out to redhotpawn and they do nothing. I stopped subscribing, soon I'll stop playing here and just play on ICC where you know you get a fair game and they police cheats!!
