I only play with friends now and then, but right now don´t know anyone who plays good. I´m not very good either, but kind of ambitious ;-) Usally, when I offer a game, I prefer to play in realtime, i.e. focussing on that game entirely till its completed, preferably within 1-2 hours. But not always, and its always OK for me to play "asynchronously" as well! Also, as games tend to get longish, I consider it courtous to give up when in a clear losing position..
