Played serious chess in my early teens and twenties. Played in several USCF tournaments. Some of my chess playing highlights:
- Took 3rd place in the first ever DC (as in Washington DC) Junior tournament. Unfortunately, there was a snow storm and only 30-40 players showed up. Played and lost to Larry Kaufman, the tournament winner, who is now a senior GM.
- Took 3rd place in the Anchorage Open in Alaska.
- Took 2d place in the Ft. Richardson, AK Open Tournament. Then at least 50 years of no play until I found chess on the internet. Pretty rusty now, and kinda old to be playing serious chess, but still enjoy it.
