Update 16 October 11 - i have continued to play with players rated 300 - 600 higher than me. i have improved the game and had some success with some of these players. I have won with players rated around 1700 in the last few weeks. See game nos 8777785, 8711475, 8727779. I also had success with a player rated 1900 when i drew with him; game no 8698572.

avg rating of my opponents are now at 1720.

I will continue this although i lose more games than i win as improvement is the more important goal for me.

update 28 may 11 - over the last 2 months i have been playing with those higher rated than me so that i can improve my game. as a result i have lost more games than i have won and my rating has not moved up. my opponents avg rating is above 1600. The highest rated player i have beaten was rated at 1767 [see game number 8432695]. The highest rated player i am playing with [right now] is rated 2162. i thank all those higher rated players who played with me. i know that their game or rating will not imporve playing with me, they still play because they love the game. There were some high rated players who rejected my invitation, i respect them too as i am sure they have valid reasons for doing so.

I was a chess player in my school. Now I am leadership and team development consultant for businesses and my work takes me to many countries. This prevents me from enjoying this game i love so much. Now that i have discovered RedHotPawn, i can play this game between my work, my travel etc. I am playing after a long time, and i am already getting my old touch after a few days playing with other players on this site. I look forward to enjoying and winning!
