I learned to play chess over 70 years ago. I now think I will not achieve my early ambition of reaching a 2000 rating, but my mind and chess talents are in pretty good shape for the shape they are in. I've been told I make "interesting, unsound moves". I like to follow international news, economics, science (especially astronomy), technology and history. I am a skeptic about many matters, for instance..whether a search for intelligent life on the earth would reveal anything.
